It'll be interesting to see how BN's plays this game. Does me use it to build to the future or does he use it as a way to reward some of the non starting/non NFL bound upperclassmen? Does he play to win or simply use it as a scrimmage like Mullen vs OU?
I’m interested to see how specific new players perform stepping up to fill spots vacated by opt-outs, starting with Miller. I also want to see them play hard. Compete. Curious to see how our DL and OL look against another decent Pac12 team.

I think Mullin got cynical and frustrated by the opt-outs that year. That was also when the “show cause” penalty was extended an extra year since COVID had prevented everyone from recruiting in 2020.

“Doesn’t matter” is fine for fans to feel/say, and may be true in some respects, but the coaches and players should compete no matter what. BN will push them to play hard, yet they still might get whipped.

The good news? I’ll get to watch the start. Won’t be able to see the end. Darn parties.

Is it too early to start drinking? I know the little lady is ready for some mimosas. Strategy could be to be hammered by kickoff. Works well whether we win or lose but could be a problem at the tables tonight.

Based on what I see here, it's never too early to start drinking. The only differentiator is you and the misses have an occasion to do so.
