If we get a nice edge rusher in this class that ready, or a portal plug-in, we could see a massive change in our defense next year. We’ve consistently been without one or the other for most of the last decade. Imagine if defenders couldn’t double-team Dexter or had to respect the interior while we had guys like Greenard on the edge. And when we had Slaton, he was situational only. Incredible disaster that our defense has been recently.
I think kelby Collins could be that guy. I think he's definitely gonna play. He had 18 sacks his senior year. He was monster, Bama wanted him badly.

BN is working through things a lot more slowly than Florida fans who still seek instant gratification after over a decade marked by some moderate success and lots of disappointment want, but when his results have come on the trail and in the portal, they’ve been quality: see Rashada, the positive shift in our blue chip ratio, the good players we’re pulling in the portal, etc.

If the quality of the on field coaching and play trend in the same direction, and that remains to be seen, we will get back to relevancy. Might not be 2023, and this season could be tougher than even 2022 because of our youth, but BN is doing some bricklaying.

Won’t be surprised if we do fill most of our deficiencies at S, LB, and OL. BN’s a better closer than his predecessors. He just takes his own sweet time doing it and it drives warm weather, fast moving Floridians nuts.

LBs, LBs,LBs.

OLs, OLs,OLs.

Those new WRs won't get the ball if the OL can't protect the QB.

Our RBs won't get yards without the OL opening holes.

DL is good ... finally. (bodies...not experience)

We’ll have over 700lbs at DT when he and Dez are on the field together. If he can move - and it looks like he can - this really helps the rotation. Those 2 plus McClellan are a start.
Now we need OL support along with LB.

The edge rushers are the difference makers. Maybe Collins, maybe Banks, we’ve got a handful coming and they are in the 255-265 range rather than 225-235. Hope we find help among them soon!

Instant gratification? 15 year SEC championship drought doesn’t seem like instant gratification to me.

We’re tired of sucking

Because it wouldn’t have been difficult to keep him . He is penciled in at top of the depth chart at RT. We know Waites isn’t ready .No excuse for it but don’t tell that to Alagator . He will just call you stupid and whistle past the graveyard .
I’m assuming that you’re talking about Tarquin. He wasn’t the starter. He got supplanted by Barber. Barber probably played as much if not an equal amount of time at various positions on the OL.

I’m talking next season Tarquin was a no question starter at tackle . Now we are looking at playing Waites at RT or someone who hasn’t played CFB.

I started watching gator football in the early 90s when I was in 6th grade . I’ve never seen the program run so poorly and we’ve had two great coaches during that span and several stinkers . Nothing from this staff resembles Meyer or Spurrier from any standpoint. While the story continues to unfold the first two chapters are a cross between Muschamp and Mcelwain . The latter of which is Billy bobs mentor .
