KJ situation was exactly what I thought watching this happen, but Hamlin situation was way worse. I'm glad they decided to not play, but should have made the call much sooner. Makes me think about how the heck did the Gator Basketball team even play after watching KJ fall over.

Ryan Clark had an amazing take. He went through a scary situation while playing with sickle cell, so his take is

Hope Hamlin recovers. Reading about him sounds like he's an amazing person.

I thought the ABC / ESPN crew did a good job during the uncertain time after Hamlin went down. Booger and Ryan Clark were especially introspective, emotional and from the heart—having played the game and knowing the risks.

I feel like seeing one of your teammates basically look like they died on the field is a good cause to suspend the game. Did they cancel it? I think it will be made up?
He didn't just look like he died; he technically did die and was revived.

After seeing a player getting CPR on the field and then taken away in an ambulance, I think it would have been a tough ask to get the players - on both teams - to continue.

I’m a lifelong Bills fan having grown up in WNY. Praying for Damar. A Bills site I follow posted this:

I didn't say they should have continued to play the game, but twitter was blowing up before the dude was in the ambulance screaming "cancel the game"!!!!

I am suggesting lets take a breath, calm down, let the emotions level out, evaluate the situation, then see if it is a good idea to cancel the game. Saying there was no good reason to RUSH to cancel it like you were on a time clock is not saying the reason to cancel it was a bad decision.

Did Damar Hamlin suffer freak 'one-in-200 million' injury that shuts off blood to brain? Heart may have been struck during 20millisecond window when it is most vulnerable, doctors say

  • Doctors believe the player's chest was struck at a critical point in his heart beat
  • This disrupted blood flow around his body and shut off his brain, they suggested
  • Hamlin is in a critical condition in hospital, his rep has said this morning
  • But his vitals are 'back to normal' after he was rushed to hospital last night

30 a year worldwide is indeed rare.

Guys, this actually could be vaccine related. I've been watching football for 50 years, never seen that happen once. Yet since the vaccine rollout mandated to most athletes, we've been seeing a whole lot of it across the globe. Draw your own conclusions.

P.s. heart problems are a known side effect of the vax now. Not a conspiracy. Risks outweigh potential benefits.

COVID can be source of myocarditis as well as the vax.

As of now, I have seen nothing that says what caused this.

Ok two things can be true at the same time so I’m inclined to reserve general judgment, until we know much more about what happened. Could be a One In A Million injury, and VAX complications have been a very real thing. For now all I can think that is appropriate is prayers for him and his family

The video is definitive
As someone that labels pretty much every cardiac arrest in boosted people vaccine complications I actually agree. Watch the replay. He got hit right in the heart with the crown of the helmet. If he gets hit anywhere else and that happens it'd be different

Take your facepalm and shove it up your back alley.
