I know it’s basically a “does it matter at this point” type of thing, but I just read this:

“The investigation remains ongoing, but the report said no alcohol or drug test was conducted on LeCroy.”

I’m no legal expert but wouldn’t that be part of the investigation?

If he was the driver, the staffer's family might have a claim but I don't think OL make that much in NIL money.

Maybe if he was overserved at the victory celebration, there could be a claim there.

My guess is everybody is protecting UGA. Don't want to give the school a black eye.

But yeah...I'd want to see the results of a blood test.

Yep - she, Chandler, was the driver and the OL was a passenger in the backseat- not wearing a seatbelt.
It may not really matter at this point since we don’t know if she’d been drinking, other than to remind us not to do that.

Ahh, if he was the passenger, no point in testing him.

They would only test the driver.

If correct, that would be highly unusual. In the case of any auto accident with a fatality, blood toxicology is always done on the driver. What is extremely likely is that the results have not been obtained yet. The results of that blood tox by the way, is subject to FOI. Heard last night that the vehicle was a rental, leased by UGA. The family of the deceased football player has publicly stated they have no interest in litigation. Sounds to me that they’ve already been promised or given a big check.

It's this part that is odd to me:
"but the report said no alcohol or drug test was conducted on LeCroy"
If true, too late now...?

This. Just saw an article about ugaly releasing a statement that they are withholding comment until the investigation is concluded “out of respect for the families.” With NSD a couple of weeks away, I’m guessing uga is the most important “family” uga is worried about “respecting.”

Yeah, I saw something the other day (can't remember where) that uga has formally launched a "review" into player/staff relationships/conduct. It definitely had the preventive "uh oh" feel to it.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Kirby could get caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl and they'd probably give him a pass. And, btw, who the hell admits they live in Winder? (I know a gal who grew up there and when she ays where she's from it sounds like she's saying "Whander.")

My ex's family is from the Barnesville/ Griffin area south of Atlanta. Nice folks and area. Definitely old Georgia. When her great uncle talked about " the war" with that accent, he was talking about "the war" of northern aggression.
