Wasn't Halter the guy who showed up at UF's pro day and managed to crank out 3 reps at 185# on the bench....:rotfl:
That’s just part of it . Word around the campfire is he couldn’t clean or squat the bar without assistance.

Imagine going through years of recruiting, dreams of NFL and expectations your staff will train you for that, then experiencing an injury from which you may never fully recover.

Does anyone have knowledge of recovery prognosis in the event it is a significant tear?

Full recovery from an Achilles injury usually takes six to 12 months, regardless of the treatment method. However, the speed at which patients can rebuild strength during this time depends on the type of injury and treatment they have.

I was under the impression it can be career ending. Good for him.

Surgically repaired and with proper rehab, it’ll be stronger and more durable after. With all the tools UF has, he will be fine even possibly before the start of the season.

Missing the spring sets him back a lot since he’s new to football. Bummed for him but long term he will have every opportunity to develop & compete.
