You don't know diddly sh!t about why our major recruits were here. It wasn't because of an analyst, I assure you.
Chaney was a fan/recruit favorite but I wouldnt trade him for Bateman. Burney just had his best season, James is looking good from early reports and He landed 2 top guys for the 24 cycle.

He was key with a couple of guys from down in his hometown Fort Pierce area and helpful generally. If he was crucial to recruiting he’d be in demand by P5 programs, not WKU.

Glad he's getting an opportunity to be on the field. Hopefully the staff will replace him with one that can pick up where he left off. Hopefully the recruits will see this as a good thing for all involved. But I think UF will compensate and be fine.

:bob:

It'll be ahhhrite.

If he's so important then Napier should demote Peterson's no recruiting ass and give Chaney that spot.
I was gonna give you a thumb up for this but then I remembered we already have 5 LB coaches.

MJM said it best - if he was that valuable, schools one hell of a lot bigger than WKU would have hired him away for a lot more money.

According to another site, there seems to be some speculation of Phil Mcgeoghan as a candidate for WR coach.

43 years old, mix of NCCA and NFL coaching experience, several years coaching in Florida, there are many factors to like.

His recruiting seems to be suspect, but I imagine it was difficult getting high quality players to the likes of USF and Eastern Carolina.

If the hire was my decision, my top 2 candidates would be Jeff Scott and Justin Stepp, both are proven coaches with a stellar recruiting history. Not sure of mutual interest though., especially this far into Spring.

If Mcgeoghan ends up being the guy, he seems to have a solid overall resume. Thoughts?

BGs third stint at UF.

His first without Mullen
.

He coached the WRs that won 2 NCs. Also the WRs that caught the balls for Trask. Got Toney into the NFL.

Seems like his recruiting was hit or miss though. Not sure.

I think he fits BNs offense. WRs will do a lot of blocking for the run game but also run simple routes.

Nothing flashy

Ugh. I’m sure all our rivals that wiped him up and down the trail last time are shaking as we speak.
