Hmmmm, somethings afoul here. Gets injured and wants to transfer??? Can't play anywhere til next year anyway so why not wait it out, get your injury taken care of, and get ready for next year and prep for the NFL. Huge loss to the OL, but damn man, suck it up. If that's the case must be some underlying issues like have been mentioned already.

According to ON3 he may not be leaving. Evidently he injured his shoulder and will miss the rest of spring but will be ready by fall. After Sling blade explained how seasons work to him and that this is spring, next we have summer and then it's fall when football season starts he decided he didn't have to leave. The kid thought this was fall and and that spring was when football season took place. Florida weather had him all fuched up. True story.

We don’t know why he’s entering the portal. Maybe he was getting passed on the depth chart. Maybe his girlfriend dumped him. Maybe he’s skipped too many classes. Maybe it’s the vaccine. Maybe it’s not the vaccine. Maybe the cartel has found him. Maybe he’s pining for the fjords. Maybe he’s overwhelmed by the tragedy of existence.
We just don’t know.

I’m sure springing ahead two weeks ago didn’t help. Add in that he’s still on central time like Texas(and most of the Fl panhandle) plus his first game being on a Thursday and this kid has been mentally destroyed already.

Mazzccua has now taken down his tweet, which he sent out without warning, according to program sources. He has since spoken with the Florida staff and is working through his issue, sources said.
The portal does not officially open until April 15 and will close on April 30. If Mazzccua had re-entered, he’s not a graduate student and would have to sit out the 2023 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Zípperer May be out for the year with torn ACL. Good news is that our best TE is a redshirt freshman (Boardingham). And he has supposedly been balling out at spring practice. This means more snaps for Boardingham.
