couple of things here.
There's a 10 year gap between the time of the apocalypse 2003 and the time of the storyline 2013 for the first game (season 1), which is when the original game came out.
Batteries that would be used in a flashlight or a walkman can last (unused) for up to 10 years or more. some are said to last possibly as long as 20 years but not likely and probably highly degraded. So it's not out of the realm that there are left over batteries that have just been saved and not used with devices used sparingly.
They also recharge car batteries, so also wouldn't be out of the realm to recharge smaller batteries too. The lithium AA battery has been around since 1992.
Lastly, in the game, Last of Us and Nathan Drake (both made by Naughty Dog) the player "recharges" the flashlight by shaking the controller.
In the real world, the linear induction flashlight was created in 2002, a year before the "apocalypse" in the game, so it's not unreasonable to think this was a legit thing for the game, and while playing the game you do have to shake the controller often for the light to keep working, just like a real linear induction flashlight.

The Game, you say?

Luke Grimes went to East Palestine, Ohio and brought supplies and donated:

speaking of shows -
there was an ABC show called 'Brothers and Sisters" - Calista Flockhart, Rob Lowe, Ken Olin/Patricia Wettig (30 Something), the dude from The Americans and Sally Field.
It was pretty bad overall - but that's where I believe Luke Grimes made his main TV debut.
He looked like a teenager in that series.

About half way through Shrinking on AppleTV. Good characters including Harrison Ford. Some real funny moments with drama. A dad and his teenage daughter are trying to cope after losing the mom.

I don't know how this series will turn out but the books were great (wool series). I don't have apple TV (I've always hated everything apple) but if it receives good reviews I may watch it.

The Night Agent on Netflix is good so far. Only 4 episodes in.
We're watching this now, pretty good (I think we're through 7 or 8 episodes, will finish it up over the weekend). I'd give it a solid 8/10 (or better, depending on the ending lol).

The first 9.5 episodes were really good. Holy shiit it’s an awful final 30 minutes.

one of my buddies told me he bawled like a baby at the end of 1883.
I, of course, was perfectly fine... no additional eye moisture...at all. nope, none.
I can see that. I got attached to some characters. Great cast. So far I like 1883 more than 1923 but it’s still good.

Haven’t watched either yet, though I enjoy the main series. Tulsa King season 1 was great in my opinion.

I just watched Breaking Bad and El Camino for the first time.

If you like Yellowstone then you will like knowing more of the back story.

What’s Tulsa King on? Never heard of it but always looking for the next show.

Tulsa King is on Paramount +. It stars Sylvester Stallone as a mobster who gets out of jail after serving a long sentence. His mob family basically exiles him to Tulsa under the ploy of him setting up an operation for them there. It’s part crime, some comedy (if anything for the fish out of water element), and part drama. It’s from Sheridan who did Yellowstone. Only 1 season so far. My wife loved it as well.
