Solid day to advance to the Finals on Saturday. Crapped the bed a bit on the beam, but recovered well for last two rotations to finish 2nd. Trinity Thomas was great on bars and vault (only two routines she did). Hopefully everyone saved their best for last!

Be honest: you were just watching for Livvy.
Does she do gymnastics too?

Just get to the finals was all that was needed today. Team really responded when Blakely fell on bars on 1st routine of the night. Then had their worst performance on beam in years it seemed! Hopefully Trinity has a Willis Reed moment and can compete in the all-around Saturday. I swear Gators are cursed, Trinity is the best gymnast maybe in the world right now and gets a freak injury, Jeez!

Florida, LSU, Okie, Utah in the finals. Unfortunately the judges have a thing for Oklahoma so don't be surprised if they win again.

I don’t think they are cursed, I just wonder if they have the ability to be their best when it matters the most.
As great as Trinity is she didn’t exactly save her best for last a year ago at the final four.
This is a critical time for Coach Rowland since she’s had an absolutely loaded roster for at least two seasons now without a trophy. Now’s the time.

Okay, Trinity scored the only 10.00 in the Finals and won "All Around".

Trinity is not the problem. I wish she could throw a spiral 50 yards.

True, the rest of the team seems to try to hard to make up for Trinity's absence and screws up.

The gals dodged a bullet in the first round on the beam over coming a fall with five great routines to move into second behind OU.

I wonder if the Gainesville Sun would like to retract the article they published a month or so ago with the headline “If Florida doesn’t win the NCAA title in women’s gymnastics this season they may never win it Again.”

Not a great message for the program right about now.

While it was kinda true given the 5th yr Covid extension, the team is still stacked next year if they continue to get recruits like they have been.

They are really solid on their recruits. Several 5 star level 10s. Next year might be a small step back without Trinity, but in 2025 they might have 2 olympians joining with Skye Blakely (Sloanes sister) and Shilese Jones. OU is still going to be in dynasty mode for the next 2-3 years I hope we dont end up being the "also-ran" during that time period.
