Even if coach naps ended up doing really well here, bama ain't calling for him. Their first call will be to swinney and a few years ago I'd say it would probably be a no but as things stand now, I bet he takes the job.

Nope. First call is Kirby. Swinney is #2. Another year or two and he won’t even get a call.

Bama is probably the only job Smart would leave UGA for, which means he'll get a series of big pay hikes as speculation grows. Napier, Aranda and Cristobal were the people Finebaum thought made most sense in a piece several months ago. Don't know if that's changed.

Saban's contract runs through 2030, when he's 77. Hard to imagine him lasting it out, but you never know. Interestingly, Dabo's name rarely comes up anymore in relation to Bama.

Georgia is the last college Kirby will coach. When he leaves it will be to do something else.

This. I don don’t know where the idea of him ever leaving came from. He’s not leaving his alma mater for any other college job. We had a chance with Covid, and vaccine complications still aren’t completely out of the question. And I’ve been sending him links to vacation properties for sale in Mogadishu(nothing yet), so there’s that as well. Otherwise, we’re just going to have to learn to beat him.

Where is Sanders going to find 45-50 players at this point? The 2 star recruit index?
He's effed. He got what he got, elite players are going to be steering clear of that place for the rest of the year. He may have to play iron man football - his frog's testicle of a son can play both QB and CB.

Probably the same source who keeps floating Meyer's name, which is far more far-fetched. Urban Meyer in Birmingham?

I didn’t wanna say anything, but I’m pretty sure that’s you.

I still think you’re terrific though. Even if you’re old and probably should’ve called it a day years ago.

Yes, but I can still rise to the occasion every so often. I just haven't gotten any lift lately.

not saying your wrong, but i'm not so sure. dabo is bama legacy, he played there, its his alma. smart was just a DC for a while but hes at his dream job where he played and lettered.

and dabo will be back in dinner table discussions this year when they wipe the floor with the A she she on the way to a high seed in the playoff.
