Question for the board- Our quality is very high. But, we still have fewer commits than some of our more significant rivals. Any thoughts or insights? I guess it does take time to get rolling and other staffs that have been around a few cycles or more. Not disappointed, and hated the early 3 star commits with question marks from our last group of coaches. Happy with our skill and LB recruiting so far. Hoping to see some OL/DL commit before the season starts.

We are WAY ahead of last year at this point, both numbers and quality. Things didn’t start rolling until mid June and this board was on the verge of panic.

As long as we keep who we have, add a few more elite and fill out the class with quality guys who fit our system we’ll have a step forward.

Like what we are doing with the avg. rating of the players in this class so far. Last year I had hoped for a >92 and that happened. This year hoping we surpass 93. Toothless is loading up on the 3*'s again. They have to get more players to get the overall rating but their current player avg. is 90.45 compared to UF currently sitting at 94.04. That could and probably will drop a bit but the player quality avg gap is big. Some do not realize what a huge significant difference in just 2-3 points on the avg on the type of player you're getting. He keeps this up we will see a huge difference in the coming years. In the same respect UF signs a couple of more elites, that avg will go up.

We're seeing a difference from loading up early with the 3's in order to allow the former Douche Mullen to go sit on the beach. Difference is this staff seems to be recruiting 24/7 365. Having some hurdles here and there, sure. But none the less they are working.

Yes, yes we certainly are. I remember the cliff jumping and it was at a high pitch. And you are spot on with the addition of a few more elites.

Definitely no reason for anyone to be at the ledge.

Well this is lovely…**** this admin!

This is a very disappointing article from a very good writer. Andy offers no new information or insight into how we got to this point nor does he offer any opinions to enhance the story from his perspective.
Although most of us on here have a pretty good idea of what has happened, I am always searching for new insights from people I respect like Andy.

Unfortunately I didn’t get what I was hoping for.

True, we are far beyond same time last cycle. End of June we had 5 commits, this cycle 8. We had 7 commit in July, 11 July/August combined. If we could to that again the class would be all but set.

I imagine you all have seen our RB commit Chauncey Bowens scheduled an official to georgia June 11th. He’s a soft commit at best. Staff needs to appear to have made major progress this season. If georgia(and others) are clicking this season but our staff looks like they cannot manage an SEC game, it’s going to cost our staff a lot of credibility recruiting.

I'm not overly concerned with Bowens, right now. I think he was our RB1 from day one. It certainly looks like UGA has him as their RB2. That would be quite a step down in money. Additionally, Bowens will have the ability to step in on day 1 and be part of a strong rotation that would include ETN and Webb. And there's no reason to think he can't be the #2 option by the end of the year.

What does concern me about Bowen is if the staff continues to try and add a portal RB. I'm not worried about another HS RB because that would likely be Gibson and that's a trade we can live with. A portal back would eat into his carries in year 1 and potentially year 2. He's a smart kid and he's building options. So long as we feature the run game and stay loyal to him, I believe he'll remain in the fold.

Kid is also 17 and could flip that weekend and make everything I just said look like utter sh!t.

So we just beat out FCS doormat Charleston Southern for some complete no name JUCO RB. Complete waste of a scholly.

We’ve given this idiot all the potted meat and sodie crackers he’s asked for, and this is the return on investment?
