Ten Florida Gators commits included in updated On300 rankings

Billy Napier and the Gators are red hot on the recruiting trail right now, having just landed offensive tackle Fletcher Westphal.

Going back to the rivals vs on3 discussion, on3 gives us only 2 recruits in their top 100, while rivals gives us 7 in theirs.

I'm one of the ones that hasn't ditched rivals for on3 and I'm hoping that's the right call.

On3 just keeps lowering all of our commits. We've seen this game before.

I think 247 is the best

It is. Evaluation wise. 247 is far superior. On3 is just terrible. Rivals is still great BUT I think On3 stole a lot of their talent so Rivals has been VERY slow in updating their rankings but when they do, they’re super accurate.

I think 247 insiders are a bit better as well. But On3’s Gator insiders are former Rival’s insiders so they’re very good as well.

On3’s board structure is very similar to Gatorchatter. 247’s is absolutely terrible. Not sure how a huge company like CBS can have such a crap design.

I’m not so sure that we’re looking elsewhere. I think there might’ve been a bit of a jump of the gun? Not from Alky. He’s just reporting what he’s hearing. I’m talking about from the writer who reported it.

But the rumor is that we are looking elsewhere. Jordan Ross is a top 3 DE in the country. I don’t know what bigger fish there would be.

Maybe he's been slow playing our staff and they moved on because they know better? I would think bama and georgia have to still be in it for him, if they want him. Saban's not likely letting talent leave the state. Usually they take 30 if only room for 20, to keep that from happening.

Do you believe we have two or three edge rushers on roster, good ones? I could see staff putting their efforts elsewhere if they know they look good for a few next cycle. Waller is a baller!

Not on On3, but get sent blurbs occasionally. So did not see it. Saw the Powers guy on a podcast and he basically said the measurables weren’t so good.

They rank based on how/if they think the player will be drafted in the NFL. That explains low rankings for recruits that may be great in college, on a certain team and/or scheme, but don't have the measurables (build) for the NFL. (Like the 2 DE/LB committed that a short and stocky).
