The difference is pretty simple. Gator Nation is totally embarrassed by the actions of Hernandez, Cane fans (I can't call 25,000 people "nation") would be throwing up that stupid ****ing U sign everytime he shot another person.

I think my comment stands on it's own merit. Canez fans relished in their thuggary for decades, with zeal, thus my comment. It may be hard to believe but most of us in the alumni club and Hurricane Club who actually attended UM did not like how our players were acting and were vocal to both the administration, AD & Coaches. While both Johnson and Erickson were excellent football coaches, they allowed the players to run wild. However, you gotta admit that for the last decade we have been as close to choir boys as you can get. I certainly don't want thugs, but I do want some players who are a little fiesty. And, I want a new coach.

BTW, there are obviously exceptions to every rule. You seem like a pretty classy poster, but in my experience you would be more of the exception than the rule.Thank you but we do have some good posters who, like me, simply love college football and don't have nasty hate toward a team/fans.

I hate MIA and FSU. And as we all know MIA has had a history of thugs, but as I believe someone pointed out - when's the last time they had someone of that caliber in their program? Most of the key suspects were back from those years when the program was off the rails. I'm willing to bet they haven't really had issues in the past decade, or since when they and FSU joined the ACC. MIA hasn't been competitive in that time either, likely two facts tightly entertwined.

I'll continue to hate on MIA, and detest their thug era, but I don't think they have that any more. Even the fans who revel in it have had their numbers dwindle, especially without the dominance on the field. Now, FSU on the other hand, and the way TPD is keeping players eligible....there's plenty of room for continued ridicule and hate, every year still.
