It seems to me that our boy McElwain is cleaning up in the JUCO market this year.

#1 JUCO RB Mark Thompson
#1 JUCO K Eddie Pinero (probably one of our biggest needs)
JUCO WR Dre Massey

It is clear he is trying to help get us depth from kids who are hopefully more physically ready to play. Thompson is a beast and will compete for the starting job day 1!

Well done coach!

If Kelvin Taylor leaves, two of those guys will be starters.

Exited for Massey to do kick returns as well if he is as good as they say so that Powell no longer has that burden of being tackled at the 10.

I haven't heard of any other JUCOs so that is probably all we get. I do want to see us get a couple more OL, LBs and WRs in this overall recruiting class. Another DT like Shaver wouldn't hurt either, but there is a lot of time.

I agree. He seemed to be slow on kick returns. I was hoping that they would throw Thompson back there to return kicks, this year. He may end up doing it in the bowl game.

I like this kid and he is one of the most undervalued recruits of this class. He'll have Mark Thompson, both Jordan's, and maybe Taylor to compete with but he is REALLY good. It'd be great if he could take a redshirt this year. Have to check with 'Crete on his eligibility for one.

We should be recruiting linemen. Then when that's done we should recruit some more linemen. Once those coffers are full we should then recruit some more linemen.

I'm a huge fan of Perine. His cousin plays for OU and is pretty great and I think he will be just as good.

.... he is going to be a star. Mac recognized how great this kid was early and was way ahead of Bama

Yup. And I remember people questioning Mac for settling on a 3* RB so early in the recruiting process.

BTW, has he been bumped up to a 4* yet?
