What's a good Android phone?

Obviously Galaxy S7. Anything else. My last 3 iPhones have SUCKED with wifi. My 5s drops wifi at least 20 times a day at home. I ran speed test and I get anywhere from 3-25 Mbps with the 5a while my laptop gets 80-90. My brother in law can over with his android and got 80-90.

I've done restore multiple times as well as network resets. This has been a problem with the 5c, 5s, and 6 plus. My wife has a 6s and doesn't have quite as many wifi issues but I'm done with Apple.

Samsung Note 5 is good, and can probably get it at a reasonable price now.
Also the S7 edge.
They are pre-ordering now for the Samsung Note 7 (they skipped note 6 in order to align the product line) supposed to be a good phone.

I have the Note 5, though I wish it had the expandable micro SD card (the Note 7 does as well as the IP68 rating for water resistance), I've never had a problem with it.

Despite your very strange iPhone problems, you'll regret the move to Android. You'll see.

I'd love to stick with the iPhone since I've only had iPhones since the 1st one. But 3 years of escalating wifi issues has just put me over the top.

How's your experience with them?

I don't know what Ox is talking about. The Android system is perfectly fine and it allows for greater freedom amongst phones than the proprietary IOS.

Screen (I prefer AMOLED for the brilliant colors)
Camera
Speed

These are the features that matter. Right now it's pretty much Samsung and then everyone else in the Android world. I'm on my second Galaxy phone and other than a pedestrian camera (the S7 is apparently quite an upgrade), it's been great.

Chicks dig iPhone, guys like Droid.

With your early-dementia issues you've had for a while now, I'm not surprised seeing your opinion on this. You remain in my prayers.

As far as the sound minds among us, again, you'll see. J will return to iOS.

I've never heard of anything like this. Since it happens on multiple iPhones, do you think the problem could be with your wifi? I'll bet you ten bucks your new Android phone has the same issues.

The very early version of the android operating systems were not very good. However, since mid 4.whatever, OS, Android had been very stable. Any problems that occur on newer OS, tend to be a problem with the phone itself, or a particular apps incompatibility, but the good apps will correct themselves quickly.
There is more flexibility on Android than iOS, so you'll need to give yourself a bit of a learning curve. While much of the functions are similar to iOS, in many ways they are different.

I will say that in general, iOS is a less risky OS because of what Apple does in approving apps, however, as long as you are only downloading reputable apps, you're fine. I would suggest going to some of the android sites and reading up on them.

Once or twice a year the OS will get a glitch and I'll have to wipe the phone back to the factory settings. It takes me all of 10 minutes to be back up operating as I was.

Ah, what a ringing endorsement for Android!

J will learn the hard way like I did. You don't realize how smooth and user-friendly iOS is until you have to deal with Android.

The issues I'm talking about probably wouldn't bother the average user. I'm picky. I had an iPhone previously. It glitched just as often.

I will if 78 will tell us the last iOS he used. He had a 2007 model, no doubt.

An iPhone 4, which I ditched in September 2013 for a Motorola Droid MAXX. I've had Galaxy S5 and S6 phones since.

It wasn't that I didn't like the iPhone; it's a well made device. I just prefer Android to iOS. I'm esp curious about the S7 because I've read so many good things.
