Wondering how many folks here have cut off their cable/DTV entirely? I don't really watch much TV as it is but I would definitely miss those occasions when the Gators are playing on SEC network or espn or whatever cable channel, especially since I'm on the other coast and not near Florida. Plus the wife really likes those DIY shows like Fixer Upper. It just seems like I waste a metric ton of cash each month just for the small amount of TV we watch. Personally other than sports almost all my viewing is Netflix and Amazon Prime series.

The only think I have is Antenna and PSVue... I have to keep the PSVue for football and kids programing for the daughter... but we haven't watched much on it this offseason.

I've got fire sticks in both bedrooms and the garage. With the ESPN app you the SEC network, 2, U, news so you'll catch games there and ABC and NBC I think also have apps. You can also do sling. 20 bucks a month gets you a $hit load of channels sans the ESPN package, but that's already covered. Screw paying $130 a month. I can put that towards the next tattoo.

That's on PS Vue right?

Yes, Sorry should have prefaced. All of the cord cutting services are getting the major four in pieces because of the affiliate structure of their ownership. YouTube got in the game after the major networks starting to let their affiliates start entering in to deals. CBS was the major hold out due to their own streaming service.

I'll have to keep an eye on this.

Looked at youtube tv but their compatibility with streaming products is a problem for me, as I am going to have to make this simple for my wife

If ps vue gets all the live local channels, I am in, even if I had to pay $60 a month it would still be well under my combined costs now, and ps vue does seem to have all the channels I would need to keep the wife happy.
Part of my problem switching is the cost of creating a set up so my wife would stll have dvr with ota channels...will be nice to eliminate that.

How quickly are they saying the remaining stations should take to appear, and have you heard anything on Orlando for it?

CBS was a surprise this morning, I turned on to see my game had downloaded and it was on the banner when I turned on Vue. So I heard they were in talks, but never saw the talks had concluded. The other two are in talks, but I haven't seen anything on them. I would be surprised if CBS Orlando wasn't on the same affiliate contract as Tampa... but I don't know.

the only buffering issue I have had is with the fire stick (which is also due to where it's located in the house). I hard lined by Fire box and PS4. I believe demand depends on the channel.

I've had zero issues with PS Vue, Amazon, or Netflix over the PS3/4.

Urg I don't know what make of the comments on this page. PS Vue Down Detector page.

http://downdetector.com/status/playstation-vue/map/
not sure what to make of it either...could be several reasons for it. It's always weird that we have people here that have minimal problems, then there are threads like that where people have nothing but problems and it's all over.

Wonder if they have simply grown too fast and don't have the proper infrastructure in place.
It's fckin Sony though, fix that schit, they have the money.

Give it a try . Free trial. From the map on that page it looked like Tampa and Orlando had the most trouble. I have been watching Fox News and full length movies on Youtube and they run smoother on my crappy service than Sling and Vue.

I'm smack dab in the middle of Tampa and Orlando and still no issues.

We have Dish and will keep it for the foreseeable future. We are watching Netflix a lot more and just started with Amazon Prime, but live sports and SECN will keep us tethered. We also get the NFL Red Zone, which is football crack and the wife likes the NFL above all.

Also, we like Fixer Upper & other HGTV-type shows.

almost all of the streaming tv services cater to the sports.
Most of them also have hgtv, and even diy, though there are a some that don't, you would have to check the line up of each.

i'm in Clearwater, and the only issues I have had in the past year was either issues with the internet feed or self induced (fire stick too far from router).
