I think he's officially on the hot seat with the homer beat writers (Dooley and Co.) finally writing what some of us have been saying for well over a year. Agree or disagree?

I think he still lasts into the 2018 season, as he'll use Nuss as the scapegoat to buy himself more time. That along with the huge buyout will be what the administration uses as justification. Thoughts?

Money talks. The bull Gators may start pulling money if something is not done quickly.

Agreed. But the poor sob, from what I heard and from his countenance in the clips of the post-game presser, looked like he was already done.

Is Butters still here? Then too long. That and until they revoke Fooley's parking spot, the stench will remain!

He was guaranteed 2018 by getting the raise and extension. They'll let him try to keep this recruiting class together so they can save money. This is 2013 all over again.

It's hard to assess who's on more a hot seat now, the inept, laissez faire coach or the clueless administrator who extended him and the embarrassment of an offensive coordinator another year while raising their pay. For what? For winning by default Eastern Division "titles"?

Stricklin's gotta be swallowing hard right now assuming he has a pulse. He put himself in this bind and now he faces his own embarrassment if this sh*t show plays out further, as it undoubtedly will. The Big Eraser, a ballhawking defense assembled by none other than Will Muschamp, is no longer around to bail out Mac. His inadequacies as a recruiter, as an assembler of coaching talent, as a development of players and as a schemer, are on full display now. The sum of the parts just plain wreaks.

The Mac backers, all three of them, will point to a 2018 recruiting class that is shaping up as top 10 material as the reason why he deserves No. 4, but the argument is fatally flawed. Mac recruited the first three plain Janers, Mac chose Nussmeier, Mac stayed with Nussmeier after it was obvious he wasn't the answer and Stricklin made it all the worse by rewarding these two bozos for being the most laughable 1-2 offensive duo in the southeast. Who's going to fess up to being the idiot now?

I'm ashamed of the product that was put on display in front of a nationally televised audience yesterday. I'm even more concerned over the hole to China we've dug since Urban Meyer ran out of Prilosec. I yearn for a football guy to assume the AD chair, but it ain't gonna happen.

Balance sheets and participation trophies matter more than football in 2017 on the University of Florida campus. Better get used to it. It's an unfortunate fact of life.

UF isn't about to put yet another jettisoned coach on a long term buy out deal.
Having to look across the sidelines every year and see Chump grinning back,
knowing he still has years of UF checks coming his way is enough to make
anyone toss his visor.
Hee Haw is going to be roaming the UF sidelines for several more years to come.
You can blame it on the current weak condition of the SECe and a couple of cup cake out of conference
games, practically guaranteeing UF winning seasons.
Add that to the cost of Mac's buy out and we are stuck like a fly on fly paper.
The old notion that UF is the choice of destination died years ago when Meyer caught
the first bus out of Gainesville. Chances of grabbing a top-flight head coach are slim.
What's available are burned out old has beens, (see Mack Brown & Fatso Charlie Weis), coaches from 2ed and 3ed tier conferences, (see Jim Mcelwain) or touted but unproven coordinators. (see Muschump)
