You people that keep calling for Toney to be the starting QB at UF need your heads examined...

There is no way UCF can keep up with the big boys. Hell, we can hardly keep up with the big boys.

If they even tried to match salaries and facilities they would almost immediately regret it after realizing that this success, and the fans that follow, are a shooting star. It can't be sustained at a place like UCF.

Not if Corral keeps his commitment. Toney is electric with the ball, but he's not all that accurate a passer. His completion % in highschool was mostly because he rarely threw and only threw when receivers were wide open deep down the field because the other team was so worried about Toney running. You people that keep calling for Toney to be the starting QB at UF need your heads examined, unless of course you want us to go to a full blown triple option offense where we never throw the ball...

We’ll see. Time will tell. Don’t forget the first thing he thinks about is speed and elusiveness.

This was in June of 2014. The board software wasn't working properly, but it wasn't going all the way down, posts in threads were showing up out of order - making them unreadable. This wasn't the first time it had happened, and the members were grumbling. I was a mod and had emailed the admins for help, but they weren't that interested in fixing the problem. They paid absolutely no attention to the forum, which was pretty big at that time.

I think it was '78 who started a thread complaining and ripping Halifax, the company that owned the Sun. Brad then jumped in by going to the Halifax website and taking the public information for the executives and creating a fake email exchange which he then posted. The fabricated email chain showed Halifax executives going back and forth with forum members about the "hamster" being down on the website. Brad kept escalating it until he implied one of the executives had sex with the hamster or something.....don't totally remember all the details (perhaps Brad can fill us in).

I was told later by an admin on the phone that the CEO of Halifax had it set up that he got a Google alert whenever Halifax was mentioned on the internet. As a result, he ended up seeing that thread and demanded the entire forum be shut down. Within a day of Brad's posts, the website was shut down with a notice on the page that said it was being shuttered for "disruptive posters" and would not re-open, and they would focus their efforts on social media. Yes, an income-starved newspaper company shut down a bustling forum that had been there for 15+ years because of a fake email exchange involving a hamster.

Needless to say, thousands of members were in shock and had no idea where to go. Unbeknownst to anyone, I had already been creating a new forum in the week leading up the shutdown - not because I was planning a competing forum, but because I thought the board was going to be down for a while for software updates and I wanted to give people a place to go. Myself, law, and '78 had some conversations about this in a group we had created on Facebook right after the shutdown.

I had the new forum up within two days of the shutdown, and immediately got around 200 members to head over in the first couple of weeks. Obviously, we've continued to grow from there.

It was about eleven weeks later (near the middle of September), not six months, that the GSMB suddenly and unexpectedly re-opened with new software. Had they left the message that they were down temporarily while they were updating the software we may have waited and the GCMB wouldn't exist, but they were too dumb for that. I was very concerned that my new venture might be sunk while everyone returned there, but I was worried for nothing - members had no intention of going back and it's been a ghost town ever since.

Shortly after the GSMB re-opened, they banned any mention of Gatorchatter and the word "chatter" was automatically replaced with the word "sports", further infuriating their former members. With the most recent re-launch, they have stopped doing that and links to this board can be made over there. I have actually spoken to the GSMB board admin, Arnold, on the phone. Very nice guy.

Thanks! I have to say the whole hamster, fake e-mail, and CEO actually reading it had me rolling.

That was last year when LDR got hurt and AA was sucking it up. I wanted to see ANYBODY other than those graduate transfers. Just to see if anybody on the bench could produce a spark. I wasn't calling for Trask this year. I've been on the Franks train all 2017. In fact, I was one of the ones calling for Franks to play in the bowl game against Iowa. Silly Donkey.

Have you watched ANY of Corral's play this year? Kid is as elusive as anyone I've ever seen. Looks pretty darn quick footed to me & he's deadly accurate. Even on the run.

Franks is deceptively elusive.

He really is. He surprised me this year. I expected a 6'5" skinny guy to be immobile & awkward, but he's slipped out of some tight situations to keep the play alive. Of course that's all wasted if he runs out of bounds behind the LOS...

That's ok but a 6'5" dude has a lot of ribs that are exposed to LBs. He can move pretty well though.

We will see how it works.

Ask them if they think they have a shot at a National title. That will answer if he stays.

Forget national title. I wonder if he enjoys playing in front of 45k fans at home, and what looked like well over 1500 people in a critical, nationally televised road game last night.

That's quaint that UCF fans think Frost finds coaching a commuter school program the pinnacle of his career.

For all the reasons listed in the previous posts, along with 4.5 million USD and a regular slate of 3:30 p.m. CBS dates, I beg to differ.

Good to hear former Gator Armstrong's repping him. I think our chances just got even better.

Reading the UCF boards they think they can keep him for $3.5M because he loves UCF so much.

Lulz (as law would say).

Did you follow the Herman to Texas situation last year? Houston did the same thing, gave him $3 million.

You're as much of a "I want Gundy" pumper as you were/are a "I love McElwain" pumper. Let it go, bro....
