He should be cut and told to transfer and any other player that is seen of film going through the motions as well. Benched and have the scholly taken, I am tired of this shyt and these players. The whole culture is BAD and it the stench of this coaching staff and their lazy, lackluster attitudes. ALL COACHES need to go......period!

He's a true Freshman. A good coaching staff will get his head right. He's young enough to be rehabilitated. Now, some of the upperclassmen...

I must have missed several games.....when exactly was CJ good?

He caught a couple of picks that were thrown right to him in September but other than that he has spent most of his time in a toaster.

Very good observation. You have to remember that if a UF player gets an interception, the majority of fans think it is a great play. Now if CJ saw the QB's eyes yesterday then it was a good play b/c he had the receiver who ran a stop route on the same side, but earlier this year they were awful throws right to him. Hey Chauncey had a couple of balls land in his lap late last year so people thought he was the next coming of Jarvis Williams. Well Chauncey has stunk all year. I remember Daryl Dixon as a true frosh had 2 balls find him for INT's, and he was not a good player his entire career in pass coverage. I always like to see if a guy can make a play on the ball or see the routes. Those are the guys who can truly play.

Half his recruits are suspended for cc fraud. But unlike Mac, his pressers don't need an interpreter for fans to understand.
What player were Randy's recruits? As far as Mac's pressers, I stopped listening after about the 3rd hee haw.

I hear the frustration but a decent coaching staff will get these younguns off their backsides and get their best efforts. Randy is just a horrible coach for motivation -- totally balless. Kicking fieldgoals when being anihilated takes the cake. What a complete putz.

Shannon is the perfect antidote for what ails the program right now -- an experienced leader who cogently expresses team goals and exudes professionalism.

That doesn't necessarily make him the best candidate to lead the defense next season under the new coach, but we can all be grateful for the job he's doing in the interim.

Grateful for the job he's doing? We just lost 45-16 to Missouri in the worst effort the players have given in decades, maybe ever.

We lost to Arky last year after the kids quit.

The kids quit against FSU, Bammer, amd Meatchikin in Butters first year.

There's a whole lot of quit in these guys.

All of those teams were far superior to that Missouri team, even Arkansas. I did not consider those "quitting" games. Shannon obviously had absolutely no influence in getting these kids ready to play. They showed how much they respect him.

Lame duck. The coaches and the team are just running out the clock on the season. No one cares, fans or players, if we lose because they are just waiting to close the lid of the coffin on this one.

Newsflash: Stricklin cashed in all the chips a week ago, a fact obviously not lost on the players. You're delusional if you think Shannon was going to make lemonade out of lemons in five days.

It's more than that....I thought the players would get a boost just from Mac being run out of town on a rail and not stinking up the sidelines. I was hopeful that they really didn't like that dolt the whole time and would show it by playing with some enthusiasm. All the distractions were gone and they could just play loose, strong football the rest of the year without any pressure.

Boy was I wrong. They must have really loved themselves some Mac, and it showed. They displayed the kind of fighting spirit he's always represented. Mac was probably proud of what he saw from a distance.

After seeing that, the new coach has some serious work cut out for him. We showed we are YEARS away and need a complete turnover of the roster to compete against UGA and Bama. Not just talent, but attitude. All of those boys have been brainwashed by Butters.

Part of me even wondered if prospective coaches were scared off after seeing that performance. Some of them may even be thinking the Nebraska job doesn't look so bad after all.

What we're seeing folks is the end result of crappy, lazy coaching that has never spelled out to these kids what will be tolerated and what will not. It's just like raising kids - you can teach them discipline and avoid a lot of conflicts from the start or you can let them "find their own space", aka run wild, and generate a never-ending string of problems that were avoidable from the start (CC fiasco, anyone?). Shannon's D was on full display against Mizzou, a terrible team in a November game and we got run over. Lousy coaching for the Gators is becoming its own lousy tradition. Sick of it. Time to flush this entire laissez-faire coaching mindset with a new staff who will not put up with pouting players and candy-ass effort/quit on the field.

Ever wonder why Saban doesn't seem to have this problem? EVER?

It's a hot mess. Not only does the incoming coach have to hit the recruiting trail running, he also has to address a locker room that's got issues of its own. I don't envy the task.

Fortunately, most coaches have huge egos and are arrogant enough to think they can fix anything.

Arky? That team is trash.

Mizzu is favored vs Bandboy this weekend, too. Let's hope Bandboy wins and gives them no reason to fire him.

Frankly, with the new early signing day, recruiting has to come first.

He can kick the team's azz after he gets done with that. No doubt he has some of those crazed Husker type S&C coaches that can get started in the meantime.

I hope Randy saw the film. I hope he addresses this abysmal effort with veracity today.
