I don't like to pick on a specific player but I cannot resist this time so please let me know your thoughts on this because I am dumbfounded by it.

Deandre Goolsby.

When he was a freshman, he couldn't block or run proper routes or even catch very well but.....once he had the ball in his hands, he was dangerous. He could avoid tacklers and even break tackles and always seemed to get 15 yards out of a 7-8 year reception. Although I acknowledged that he had lots of development as a player in front of him, I raved about the potential he had. I even stated that he reminded me of the serial killer when he had the ball.
Now four years have gone by and Goolsby cannot block, cannot run good routes, and cannot catch very well. Due to the continued deterioration of the offense, he doesn't even get his hands on the ball anymore. Is this a function of an inept coaching staff not developing a player or another underachieving player that lacked the commitment to truly get better or both?

We haven’t had a competent wide receivers coach sent Zach Azzanni. Hell, one year under the Chump we didn’t EVEN have a wide receivers coach.

We haven’t had a competent ST/TE coach since Urban left either.

It's a message board, and we're all free to have our own opinions about the FGs in Saturday's game. Personally, I think our defense was sick and tired of seeing our offense drive the ball down the field and fail to convert on 4th down over and over and over again and keep coming away with 0 points because dumb@ss Mac always going for it on 4th down in the red zone instead of taking the easy 3. I think Randy did this on purpose to try and smooth some of the rough waters between the O & D. Assuming that's why he decided to kick the 3 instead of forcing them to most likely fail to convert yet another 4th and goal, it didn't seem to accomplish what he was hoping to accomplish as the D still didn't seem interested in trying to help the team build some momentum off a positive score instead of coming away with a goose egg again. I think it was a test on Randy's part. Testing the D to see if they would respond. They didn't, so he ends up looking bad, but I understand, or I think I understand what he was trying to do.

I actually think it does. Sit him and let him see the game from the sideline. Don’t let Nuss damage him further.

When we bring in a real coordinator and a real QB mentor/coach, they can put him back in the game.
Or not, I'm thinking not.
I agree with you but unfortunately, Zaire has another year and he and LDR will come back next year assuming that they, and they alone are competing for the job. The reality is that the Gatornation wants neither of them to be the starter

You can toss Franks and any other QB we have on the roster into that list. None of these guys have what it takes to run Frost's offense. Zaire is probably the best candidate of the ones we have. I think there is a very good chance we have a Freshman QB next year, or maybe even another transfer.

It's called having Greg Nord as your position coach, and Jim McElwain as your head coach. This kid has all the tools, but was completely destroyed by inept coaching. The coaches probably cost this kid millions in NFL money.
