Corral is a good runner and dual threat quarterback. Great pocket awareness. Goes through his pre snap reads very very well. He’s our guy and can get it done. No reason to scare him off for fields who might be marginally better at running.

LOOOOLLLLLzzzz :lmao2:

Shyttersfull: "Hey Justin, I'd really like you to reconsider Florida for your college of choice!"

Fields: "Oh really, will you be running the same offense you always have?"

Shyttersfull: "Oh yea, we will. It's going to be great, you should join us!"

Fields: "Sooo... you want me to gain 35 pounds, run into the defensive line 25 times a game, and occasionally throw it from the shotgun when I'm not too injured to do so?"

Shyttersfull: "YES, That's it exactly! Will you come?!?!"

Fields: "........................ I'll uhhhhhhh.......... get back to you soon.........."

Yep...he is every bit as athletic as Smith was running the Utah offense...gotta hope that Mullen is smart enough to tailor the offense to him and not run what he was with MSU.

He's the first call I'd make if I were Mullins
first call I'd make is the Milton and maybe Deron Williams. Corral is a terrible fit in a Mullins "offense".

not really sure from there. Haven't really checked the recruiting rankings for the 250 lb athlete types.

I guess the first thing is to get Frank's in the weight room and try to put 30 pounds on him. From there I don't know. One of the tight ends maybe?

first couple years are going to be ugly if we don't get someone on board quickly

The first call DM better make is to Matt Corral to keep him on board and more importantly the majority of this class. Then Copeland and Schwartz need to be brought into/back into the fold. As far as Fields goes, I would defiantly reach out to him just to see if he is really interested. Probably use the "Hey have you seen Dak Prescott....?"

DM has to keep this class together and get some LB's who can fill gaps and not the 200 lb hybrid type guys.

Go Gators!!!

I don't know why you people keep mentioning Alex Smith. That was another offensive coordinator. Mullen doesn't run a passing offense at All. Muschamp Passes more than Mullen. you people even watch football?

108 ranked passing offense this year with his handpicked quarterback.

If Mullen was smart enough to tailor the offense to Chris Leak and win a natty, odds are he can adjust it to suit Corral.

Yes, put 30 lbs on FF, but then move him to TE/WR. Keep him out of the QB room.

in 2006 UF threw for over 3,300 yards and 29 TD...was not the greatest aerial show out there by any means but that would be a slight improvement over the last 7 years here

It was good enough to win a national championship without a dual threat qb. The key is not just to have a Spurrieresquire passing attack. A stout defense and exceptional special teams are just as important.

He was his quarterback coach. Stop making up **** to feed your stupid narrative.

Leak passed for 3k in 06, Tebow passed for 3200 and 2700 yards in 07 and 08.

Dak passed for 3500 and 3800 yards his junior and senior years.

Doesn’t pass huh? You don’t have to like him but stop lying.

Exactly, I think he could do well with Corral. DM worked on CL and gave him Billy Latsko to block for him. I will take the worst offensive year Mullen produced at UF over anything we've had in the last two coaches.

Mullen had no offense at Utah, he was the QB coach. Mike Sanford was the OC and play caller at Utah from 2003-2004. Despite rumors Mullen was the brains behind the offense, that offense was distinctly different from what UF and MSU ran that it is hard to believe that it was Mullen making the decisions. So, he really has never run an offense with a pass-first QB. This would be a first if he tailors anything for Corral.

Jeebus fvkking Chrzzle. Did you even watch that abortion with Leak running 30 options (he read them all as GIVE)?

Remember the headlines constantly being what's wrong with the Gators offense?

You are a member of that select group of individuals who can complain about an offense winning a national championship.
