Look at the guys cv that Mullen now has as assistant coaches with Knox and Sunseri in addition to the others.

Look at the guys Mullen has already flipped/signed and is going for more!

McElwain couldn't even sniff these people.

Rapidly moving out of darkness and great props to Mullen and his relentlessness!

Well I can see us holding a "Mullen Day" - out there in the bright sunshine. But a "Mcelwain Day" we'd all be standin' 'round in total darkness.

Any staff that does not have Nusmeier on it, has a chance to be really good.

And those of you that have been around a few years.....Lyn Amadee was a better OC, than Nuss!

I was not in favor of hiring Dan Mullen. But with each passing day, I am beginning to feel really good about Gator football again. Looks very hopeful that we are finally coming out of the coma. Welcome aboard Coach Dan and staff. Let's do this.

I thought we should go after Mullen in 2011 but then was kind of just ok with the hire this time around... he's definitely surprised me so far and am more than just cautiously optimistic

I have similar views. Mullen was my fourth choice: Frost, Kelly, Strong, and maybe even the Memphis guy. I felt, however, from the beginning that Mullen would be a good coach and put a respectable product on the field. Thought he might even be necessary to restore the program and prepare us for the coach who would win championships
I had reservations about his personality dating from his first tour here and I am not yet all in on CDM. But I am absolutely astonished at the change in recruiting. How much is due to effort? Finally, I now understand what Swonkey and others were saying about Mac's staff. I generally don't like complaining and I try to judge people on performance not credentials, so I dismissed those complaints.

So, to Law and the others who saw the staff deficiencies I say: "You were right and I was wrong."
P.S. I am still not 100 per cent. on Mullen.

I will save my props for Mullen until he wins some big games. Not just against the likes of Vandy, Kentucky,
Missouri, or South by South West No-Where College For the Halt. I mean some schools that possess a pulse!
Let him beat the likes of Alabama, Georgia, LSU and FSU an a fairly regular basis before we proclaim him the next "Coming Of The Messiah".

So far I am very happy with what Mullen has done. He has surprised me. I was hopeful with the hire and now I am optimistic. As you all know I always try to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. So far Mullen is making it easy.

So far so good with CDM. I have been very surprised at the recruiting and I like the staff he is putting together.
Yet I will remain 'cautiously' optimistic. Like others on this board I want to see the product on the field.

I think you guys are forgetting how good this recruiting class was before McElwain's firing (and with a crappy product on the field; Nuss should have been gone a long time ago). It was top 10 when he got canned. Not saying that Mullen isn't doing very well, but he's recruiting somewhat different guys to fit his system.

So... What I got out of all that is that you miss Mac?

A recruiting class ranking before early signing day and national signing day is like saying I have a bigger pile of dirt than you. Who cares? Recruits flip in a heartbeat and many of them we would have lost due to other colleges poaching them as we sucked so hard last year. I'm not saying Mullen is the messiah over here, but saying a projected recruiting class means anything other than a hill of beans is comical. Until the recruits put ink to paper it doesn't count.

Mac finishing with a top 10 recruiting class would never have happened after the 2017 season being so terrible.
