So do you really think Disney is going to stop the main Star Wars stories at episode 9?
No. They are going to make more movies but the core story is/was 1-9. I don't care what they do with the spinoffs. Honestly I'm not that interested. Calling them Ep10-12 would be blasphemy.

So, is R1 called 3.5?

There is plenty more room. I'd love to see a series about Saul Guerrera.

The official names of the saga movies:
Prequel Trilogy
Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace
Star Wars: Episode II Attack of The Clones
Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith
Orignal Trilogy
Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope
Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi
Sequel Trilogy
Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi
Star Wars: Episode IX (To be named)

The name of the standalone movies (officially referred to as Anthology films)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Solo: A Star Wars Story (assuming the movie gets made)
Possibly a Boba Fett movie. I assume it would be named Boba Fett: A Star Wars Story

Notice that Rogue One was not named
Star Wars: Episode III.V Rogue One

Prior to the release of TLJ is was planned that Rian Johnson make a future trilogy not related to the original characters. Hopefully, RJ will never be allowed to be involved.

BTW. Here is what Lucas said in a September 1980 interview about his vision for Star Wars.

"I'm going to keep it pure. It's a nine part saga that has a beginning, middle and an end. It progresses over a period of about 50-60 years with about 20 years between trilogies, each trilogy taking about six or seven years."

Sorry if Im not geek enough to know, but I thought Lucas wasnt involved w writing 7-9, so why would it matter what he originally planned?

Seems to back up what you are saying.

I've seen these 9 episodes referenced as the Skywalker Saga. Kylo Ren is the last remaining Skywalker.

Lots of questions.

Have Disney strike Star Wars Episode VIII from the official canon.
Star Wars has long been a story about two things, the Jedi and Luke Skywalker. After over 260 novels where we could follow the adventures of that great hero you, the Walt Disney Company decided to strike all of that from the official canon and wiped out three decades of lore. We were excited to see Episode VII to see how our heroes lives turned out since you took away what we knew. We saw the death of Han Solo, we saw less than a minute of Luke Skywalker.

Episode VIII was a travesty. It completely destroyed the legacy of Luke Skywalker and the Jedi. It destroyed the very reasons most of us, as fans, liked Star Wars. This can be fixed. Just as you wiped out 30 years of stories, we ask you to wipe out one more, the Last Jedi. Remove it from canon, push back Episode IX and re-make Episode VIII properly to redeem Luke Skywalker's legacy, integrity, and character.

We stuck by you when you did things that hurt us before, so we ask you now, please don't let this film stand. Don't do this to us. Don't take something so many of us loved so much and destroy it like this. Let us keep our heroes.

I hate the way Boba Fett died... possibly the first “ridiculous death” along the lines of the way Darth Maul, Snoke, and Leia’s non-death, death died.

To be fair, he is probably still alive inside the belly getting digested over a thousand years and could be rescued.

I did, enough to cover you.

Best scene (not just in movie)? Destruction of the Dreadnaught. It was awesome.

Destruction of Dreadnaught especially awesome by dropping explosives thru the open bomb-bay hatch in a gravity-free environ. How's that work?

I’m talking about the jump to hyper space suicide crash scene.

So why didn't they do that shyt all along?

They keep doing suicide runs trying to drop a football down an exhaust port at 200 mph, just send a few Falcon class freighters and jump at the right time. Or even program a the computer or a droid to do it?

Because it wasn’t in the script. ;)

Rotten Tomato score has dropped to 49%. Where it stops nobody knows.
for comparison
Ep I 59%
Ep II 57%
Ep III 65%
Ep IV 96%
Ep V 97%
Ep VI 94%
Ep VII 88%

Generally critics agreed with fans within a few % but for the last Jedi the critics are a full 41% out of sync :scratchchin:
