TLJ fails in three main ways:
1) Story/plot/writing
2) Lore/continuity/respect
3) Political agenda
Shytting on the lore was inexcusable. I can't accept that but I could deal with a bad plot if they left out the political agenda. Ep. VII was so much better. I enjoyed that it to an extant the followed same formula as A New Hope. I enjoyed the nostalgia. It's remake in a way and I liked it. In total it did a good job of honoring the past, bringing in new/interesting characters and setting up mysterious for the remainder of the trilogy. Also the pacing and tension as the plot unfolded were entertaining.

We can only hope Abrams sets up a battle between Luke and Snoke and neither are dead.

If not, I'll probably be swearing off Disney made SW movies.
