I’d personally like to see more lineups with Gak & Hayes, Gak & Bassett, Hayes & Bassett playing together. We did that some vs UK with Gak & Hayes and were successful. We screened Uk to death and actually had the size to compete down low.

Throw Stone/Egor or Hudson at the 3 with Allen and Chiozza rounding out the backcourt and I think we’d have more success (inside especially). Just my 2 cents.
I think Gak is limited from injury too. From what I read his knee swells and he has very limited practice time. No excuses but we haven't played the season with a full deck (no pun intended). Maybe practicing with our student managers has added to the inconsistency. Cheese, Hayes and Egor probably play too many minutes total and/or out of position. Egor especially, it likely hurts his shot accuracy in the second half.

The last thing this team needed was three games in three days. It's just about matchups and hitting shots from here on out. I'm willing to let it play out then see how White addresses the teams weaknesses in the off season before calling for his firing.

We may not have to, Ole Piss has been very quiet since firing their coach. White is an Alum.

White has said he is not interested. The top candidates as of one day ago is Kermit Davis, Earl Grant, and Tom Crean. White is on the list but considered a long shot...

I hope so, White is young and learning also. I remember another young coach with promise who made a few (very few) mistakes early.

Yeah Billy D had his issues after the first Final 4 and then again after the Back to Back NCs. Its college basketball, the same team doesn't win it all EVERY year. White has to grow and develop the team and not fall off the map to losing records which he hasn't thus far. 3 straight 20 win seasons and now another NCAA Tourney.

That Bjork didn't commit to Thad Matta after the interview a week ago makes me think White could very well be high on his list. Ole Miss doesn't want to wait too long to make a decision and risk being in competition with high-profile programs.

White fits what they are looking for. Question is, does White consider Ole Miss more desirable?

Exactly, also we are a high pressure program and our fans are not a bunch of mind numbed robots like many schools.

Then he shouldn’t have been playing at all the past few weeks. He’d be 100% healthy by now. I’m not a fan of playing guys who are injured a few minutes here and there. Only thing that does is open it up for worse injury and delay healing

Crean would be a very good hire. Classy guy and runs a good set. I am still perplexed he didn't succeed at Indiana.

He really hasn't played all that much, really just the last two or three and not much then.

Don't think its that big of a deal. It shows us we better be ready for the tourney and probably just puts as at a 6 seed instead of a 5 seed where there isn't much difference.
I have been hoping for a 6 the last few months. It sets up better than a 5.

My gripe is that for most of our games it is frustrating to watch the bumbling basketball. For the first third of the season we operated like a well-lubed machine. The other two-thirds of our games we played rudderless. Even games we won forced angst-thoughts of "why does White accept that, game after game?"

I'm already mired in the "wait 'til next year worry". But next year will White solve our lack of inside game with some 6'10" plus muscle of 65% FG accuracy? Will our 2019 team have an identifiable cohesive style? Will he teach our players proper use of a couple of "go-to guys"? Will we have "go-to guys"? 6'8 Stone could be exciting, but we need more. As for guys who really shouldn't yet go pro, White hasn't created a team exciting enough to return to.

UF needs a coach that can attract those better basketball athletes, especially offensive "big men". If that's White, then fine. Let's see what he does with Johnson, Stokes, Gak, Stone et al?? Next year I don't want us depending on "long-shot" uncoordinated shooters with no team-attack. Now, let's go win March Madness.

Gak needs like micro fracture surgery or something on his knee. Has practiced like 5 min all year and can play no more than 10 min a game. Has been this way every game this season. He is having surgery for the injury after the year.

Stone will be a beast next year, but he have no real 4 and 5 big guys. We need some.

Other coaches figured out our Achilles heel and exploited it. Arky began the game with some cheap fouls and then began driving to the basket exploiting our bigs lack of physicality, then the 3's opened up, ballgame.

I like White. As the season has gone on, I give him a ton of credit. He's done the best he can with what he has. The biggest criticism would be his recruiting. He needed a pg this year and didn't sign one. Chiozza isn't a starter. He's a solid backup who is at his best providing a spark off the bench. While the 2014-15 season had awful pg play, I still think it better than what Chiozza provides. He's the worst to me since the early Kruger years. Thankfully, Egor graduates. As far as Hudson goes, he has one more year. If I were White, I'd tell him to go. I wouldn't want to put up with his selfish play any longer.

I’ve heard this as well. Would rather have redshirted him unless he was hurt in season (can’t remember).
