When Mullen was at Mississippi State he offered Jones a scholarship. He likes Jones' playing style, his personality, and his other intangibles. There is not going to be much more development with Franks and Traske. Jones is about what Mullen wants to build here. Get ready for Jones.

Dare I say it? Can it be? An actual UF recruit being groomed to become an actual SEC QB - sooner rather than later. Be still my trembling heart.

Trask should be the stop gap until EJ is ready. Franks should bulk up and move to TE or something, QB is not in his future unless Mullen really is a guru

We expected this O&B game to move us towards conclusions, but it's moved us towards confusions.
The QB stuff we saw yesterday only stirred up fritinancy.
(fritinancy is the chirping sounds of crickets)

Franks has the most arm talent out of all the QB's, if he could improve his accuracy and decision making he would be our best option at QB this year. He is also really fast for a QB his size which is great for Mullens offense!

Only if you a purposefully avoiding the obvious.

Franks and Scarlett were the leading rushers, and the ones who took a seat first.

Trash either didnt run when asked to or they dont think he can run so they called all gives. Zero yards rushing makes it clear he is an emergency QB only.

EJ will play this year and imo he will start eventually.

Neither QB exceeded 50% and both average 5.5-5.8 yards. It is a dink and dunk offense so the completion rate has to be much much higher.

The OL mostly looked like shyt.

Maybe next year. Or maybe we look better in fall.

So basically... if only he was totally different but with the same arm talent.

Disagree. Arm talent goes beyond how far you can throw it. Trask has plenty of arm strength and he gets it away fast.

Franks has that ridiculous windup that makes you want to consider going to get a ham sammich waiting for it to end.

The offense can run, somewhat, w a Trey Burton/Jordan Reed at Qb, all run , no real threat of pass. It doesnt work at all with a QB w zero running ability. It just is what it is.

I'll take #15 any day.

As would I, the point is that in college your throwing motion is not that important, and if we had that offensive line and leadership we would be far better off. This off season should test the leadership of our QBs, they can make a large difference or almost nothing, their choice.
