Excellent news.

I guess this means he'll be around to coach that sixth grader that's committed to play for him.

During one of the regional games they had someone saying that Texas was after Walton and would UF keep him?

Probably his agent.

I understand the it's not a revenue sport argument, but I love Gator softball. It's my second favorite sport, the #1 women's sport in the country and I'm stoked about signing Walton long term.

You are not far off, but the NCAA just passed a new rule the says no contact till their junior year. That should help with girls not developing like you anticipate, for instance Lugo was the #1 pitcher in the country as a 15 year old when Walton took her commitment, but stopped growing and was barely top 20 by her senior year.

Sure Boss.

Then why have these fvkktards refused to spend it for three decades.
That is a good question. I'd like to hear someone..not named Foley..explain it to us so we could understand.

Law, stay out of softball, baseball and basketball threads!

Spanking me won't be a deterrent.

I don't really care what they do with softball. I just wish we'd spend football money on football instead of pocketing 80 million of it every year and pleading poverty. Our Athletic Department is the Cincinnati Reds of college football.

We're the ONLY university to finish in the Top 10 of the Directors Cup Ranking for the best all-around athletic department every year since it began. And we totally dominate the SEC All-Sports trophy, winning it virtually every year. Just because the football program has had a few down years due to bad coaching hires, doesn't negate the absolute success of the overall athletic department and the student/athletes who out in the time and effort to be successful in their sports. I understand that football is the money machine that drives it all, but UF is at the forefront of promoting and achieveing champions in ALL sports. And as a lifetime Gator, that makes me very proud.
