I don't understand the underlying question..... Did Mullin fire Seider? I didn't know he was run out of town.
He was invited to look for other jobs and switched positions to make room for a terrible running back coach who is also a terrible recruiter, but, I guess a friend of Mullinz.
The inside rumor is Mullinz didnt like him thinking the recruiting was all due to Seider's skill, and admittedly, EJ wasnt. Mullinz just didnt like Seider and didnt want anyone to whom the players might be more loyal, although players are generally more loyal to their own position coaches and QC's.
The biggest difference between Meyer and Mullinz is that Meyer went out and hired the best recruiters he could find from any staff, DJ from Stanford, that former HC from USF, Mattison from Meatchicken, Holliday from WVU or NC St (I forget), and we paid whatever it took. We had five or six great recruiters, though some werent the best position coaches.
Mullinz better learn this lesson in a hurry and if we fall flat in this class, hed better fix it with bew hires in Decemer.
Im just glad Seider didnt end up at Clown Town, Bammer or Ugly. It is sad though bc he WANTED to be here.
