I still like you too but, we are significantly down on OL talent. You will see when the season starts... The OL will look very similar to last season - a weak link.
I think the OL will look significantly better than last year, although I admit that isn’t saying much.

lmao. Unless Miss St has a boatload of injuries that game we are going to get ran all the way back to Gainesville. It will look like that 2005 game in Tuscaloosa.
So Miss State is a freaking powerhouse now? I know how bad we've sucked, but some of you guys have battered wife syndrome, now cringing at garbage teams like MSU. Puh-leeze.

Not sure if it will look that bad but they definitely will have a big advantage at QB. Also we seem to have a habit of falling apart there even with good teams.

MSU is built for a great 2018 season. I can tell you don't pay much attention to teams outside of Florida. They have a front seven that is going to stomp our OL and as the other poster pointed out they have a big advantage at QB. Feleipe Franks is going to handle the crowd in StarkVegas? That's laughable to think that.

I think the oline could end up being serviceable. It won't matter though. No qb, no team.

We win by 20+. Since it’s obvious you won’t even be watching the game, I’ll let you know how it turns out.

How do you know they have a big advantage at QB? The last I saw their experienced QB was being carted off with a very serious ugly injury. And UF's QB passing rating was better than Miss State LAST YEAR.

One of the interesting things that the OL sucks crowd seems to miss is that a option based offense can cover up for OL problems. When you run an option you leave one guy unblocked to option and then give better angle to everyone else on the OL. This can make an OL seem better maybe much better than the individual parts seem to be.

Does a stat like that take into account one QB having a decent feel for what is actually going on while the other one is routinely panicking and running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage or fumbling the ball while running without the ball even being touched by a defender?

If he is anywhere near what he was prior to that injury he is way better than Franks overall. Heck he is set to break Tebows SEC all time rushing record for a QB this season. Unless that coach doesn't utilize his running ability like he should he will easily outplay Franks unless Franks makes huge strides this year.

Unless they forget their assignments or miss their blocks, something UF has been known for.

If there's one thing I've learned the past few years its 8-4 at another school doesn't equate 10-2 at UF. Mac's record at csu had to be similar to his record here. Muschamp might even be better at usce. Randy Shannon still sucked as a hc when he was coaching the orange and blue if you wanna count that. A mediocre coach is a mediocre coach no matter where you put him. Mullen went 5-7 2 years ago very deep in his tenure at msu. I expect us to miss a bowl for the 2nd year in a row.
I can't argue. I think we win 9 games, or possibly 10, but there is fairly solid evidence that Mullen is a mediocre to flat out crappy head coach. All we can hope is he was seriously held back by his location, but like they say, your record is your record, and that leaves lots of reason to be concerned.

Miss St is going to kill us. I wouldn't call them garbage. They might take 2nd in the West this year.

Damn, I hope not. That would be strong evidence of what a sh*tty coach Mullen is, if they have their best season of tenure through addition by subtraction.

Finished 4th or 5th 8 times in 9 year and actually way more often 5th. Of those 8 he was actually tied for 4th or 5th 5 times which means his average season he finished ahead of 1 team in the west, his good years ahead of 2.

There was 2014 where he actually finished second, but proving that was a complete aberration they went right back into the sh#tter the next 3 years, tied for 5th, tied for 5th, tied for 4th.

The main reason why MSU is expected to be good in 2018 is because of Mullen, not in spite of.

I don't think he is asking what mediot hype about Mullen should he buy into. I think he is saying that if MSU is really good without Mullen this fall, that is evidence Mullen held back the program and that would be a real warning sign for UF.

Wanna bet their offense isn't 100th again and their QB, whomever it is, isn't good for 1400 yards?
