Ever since choosing geology as a major I wanted to be a psychologist as the psych department was on the same floor as geology and the chicks were way hotter.

Now:

Whatever all the hotties were taking. Behavioral I think would be more interesting.

I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

If I had to pick a different path back then, I looked hard at being a pilot. As crappy as my eyes are, and how much you are away from home, I likely would have regretted it. So, with hindsight, and choosing back then, probably a computer programmer - the logic of things always appealed, and you have more control over programming than you do running projects dependent upon idiot team members, and you can work remotely with flexible hours.

If I had to start over now, I might fall back to programming. Or more likely, switch to teaching. My dad still teaches at SFCC, and I've got issues following his footsteps, but I can't deny the schedule is appealing and I have always liked helping others become more than they are. I used to be a TA in the Mech Eng CAD labs and thrived there. I recognize is would lead to a much lower income than my current career path has afforded.

Fantasy choice? Probably professional poker player - win a few games, take as much time off as I want to spend it, rinse and repeat. Reality is, I suck at any kind of poker face and get run out of tables quickly on the few times I join 'friendly' games.
