I have a dog. Hate cats. Allergic to them. I like football much more. Played baseball and football. Should be fair to the baseball national champions. Because of the money situation football is getting the centrally located land near the football stadium. Makes more sense long term. We have a top baseball coach who has produced at the highest level. No need to treat him like garbage.
We treated Billy like garbage and made the basketball team play away from home for most of a season. I know white was the coach during that time but we still let Donnovan slip away. But oh hell no! Can't lose this baseball coach.

Anyone think Foley retired because he saw the writing on the wall and didn’t want to diminish his standing in the eyes of guys like Byrd when it all came crashing down? His mismanagement after the mid-00s might have a decade-plus long impact, assuming we don’t become a total afterthought permanently. Stricklin needs to aggressively fix the main issues (dorms, weight room) while trying to outfox Bama and Georgia on the next generation of facilities. Trying to play catch up will only ensure we stay permanently behind.
Moving the stadium takes time if you want football to take over that land. In the long run better than cramming in a 3 story smaller facility in quicker .

To be accurate Foley picked well in baseball and hoops coaches at the end but blew it on football coaches the last two times. He was one of the best in the country on football with Meyer before the last two football coaches. Foley needed to retire after the last 2 football coaches.

Call you to confirm?
Wrong as you would not be calling me. I doubt that guy even follows football. This is just another example of you saying things that are simply not accurate. If you want that false reality go for it. I am about accuracy which is not that important to you.

How are you so sure?
Same way you are sure it is not you as it isn't you. People just make things up on the internet and this is a good example. When people say things that I know are incorrect I correct them. Can't be more sure of this than any of the inaccurate things I've seen.

Donovan was clear for years he hated the negatives of recruiting and wanted to focus on more pure coaching in the NBA. We kept him at UF for a very long time. We got Meyer in part because we treated Donovan well and he passed it along. We were one of the first programs to have a nice practice hoops practice facility which we gave him without him asking.

If we paid him like kentucky pays cal, the nba wouldn't have been interested

Wrong again. When you say things that are inaccurate I will correct you. I am not a professor, I don't love cats or Mac. I just correct your incorrect statements.

I don't think it was about money for Donovan it was about basketball. Plus he wasnt allowed to cheat on hoops recruiting at UF like they do at UK. UK tried but could not lure him to UK.

Wrong. All you have to do is call the guy and confirm.
I think j-byrd is right. We need to speak that guy directly. Anyone here want to join me in paying him a visit at his office or classroom?

Dude, by ignoring my advice on how to resolve this, you’ve completely provided all the evidence that is needed to confirm that you are indeed said professor. Your one and only response to disprove it is to “call him”, which of course disproves nothing (and you know it), as you would just deny any knowledge of the board. That wouldn’t prove a thing.

The only way to show that you aren’t said professor is to provide some indication of who you are? Where do you live? What work do you do? How do you know so much about what’s going on in Gainesville? Why did you become a gator fan?

You don’t need to give any personal details, just give folks SOME reason to believe that you aren’t the same jhbyrd as the guy who lives in Gainesville, works at UF, has an email address of [email protected], etc. Easy Peasy.

Tell the professor that 78 knows for a fact that he posts on Gatorchatter and eventhough 78 is wrong on numerous other things he is right on this.. After the professor says "What the hell is Gatorchatter and who is 78?" tell the UF students your name and they will give you a standing ovation for taking random internet posts as fact.

I have done so, as have others. My picture has been posted here (from tailgates), many have met me personally. I live in a suburb of Nashville, I went to UF in the late 80s, graduated in ‘91. My daughter is a rising Sr. at UF (she won’t be taking one of your classes). I manage a sales organization in the software industry. We have a dog and a cat, a 2nd dog in the house with my daughter home from college. I grew up in Daytona Beach as a lifelong Gator fan.

Your turn.

Tell you what - if you’re concerned about privacy, just send me something like your LinkedIn profile via private message (I haven’t made mine public here, but many here have it and are connected). I won’t share it, but I will confirm to the board that you are not the professor if you do so. How about that?

I'll pass. Seen how certain posters on this board roll. You can continue to think I am the UF professor (as 78 made up) if it makes you feel good. Since I am about accuracy I will still correct inaccurate statements like that. You don't have to worry about me. I just correct when people say inaccurate things about UF be it good or bad.
