Recruiting Is it fair to wonder if UGA is paying recruits?

Until the system is burned to the ground we won’t really know the difference between good recruiting and cheating. Right now they are probably one and the same.

I knew a family member of Trent Richardson. That family member told me point blank he got an Escalade for signing with Bama. Kirby learned at the foot of the master, so he probably knows all the tricks for getting away with it.

I think UGA probably bought Cook and Tyson Campbell. Just a hunch.

Well as cheap as Foley was he probably offered Toyota Corollas and a Moe’s all you can eat burrito card. Not to mention the middle school type facilities. We probably need better bag men

Foley reduced us to a bunch of 3 star recruits stealing credit card numbers to buy funyons.

We've got $2 million in a SunTrust jumbo CD earning 2.15% Let's get that money to work. 22-inch Dubster wheels for five-star recruits, subwoofers for the four-stars.

You actually think kids can be bought? Ludicrous.

I think Kirby and his boys are good recruiters. I just don't know how they are THAT MUCH better than everyone else. It doesn't add up.
I brought this point up about Jimbo Fisher at FSU IN 2011-2012 and was told to stop making excuses for UF's poor recruiting on the "other board"...does it really make a difference?

There are some people that think that we should be getting all these players just because we are Florida. Even though we have sucked for the last 10 years. Even though our facilities suck. Even though we chintzes out on the IPF. Even though our players have a shared weight room. Even though Gainesville isn't exactly Miami Beach and one step above Clemson and Auburn and barely two steps above StarkVegas.

FSU and Georgia in these past couple of years haven't had great facilities. Yet Georgia pulled four Rival 5 stars out of Florida while we pulled zero during that time. Its probably a combo of bad recruiters and not going the extra mile with some recruits. Muschamp got some good classes but never developed the offensive players and quit recruiting O linemen.

Also timing, imo. It helped that he wasn’t exactly a new face when he officially became HC, but that first really good class (‘10) was helped by our instability with the Meyer/Daz transitioning and Shannon’s final debacle season at miami. And served as a spark for their “reborn” program and became the backbone of their title year. Suddenly we were losing recruiting battles(Jernigan) to them because they were now the cool destination and we were the program in disarray.

The tables turn quickly in cfb, and a handful of elite recruiters can solve a lot of perception problems with just a few key wins. That’s what we need. And fast.

We offered recruits 10 very nice crisp 2 dollar bills and 50 cent pieces.

It took years to come down on college basketball, and when they did it was revealed that Nike and Adidas were the ones supplying the money,
When they finally catchup to Georgia, is there any doubt SuperCuts will be the company behind all the payments.
It's the only possible reason Smart continuous to wear that $8 dollar haircut.

Some will disagree but a win over FSU will do wonders for Mullen as far as closing out this years class(2019)….Had Butters not sh!t the bed against the Clowns to close out the 2015 season at home he would have cleaned up....There was about 40-50 of the top 250 recruits in OUR stadium that night just waiting for us to confirm that "we were back" instead of them.....That's the night I knew he just didn't get it.
