UCLA's recruiting has been a disaster

UF never offered Chip and I do not believe they intended to. Perhaps they suspected he would never last, was not an SEC guy, perhaps that he was not a committed college coach. More though I think they wanted Mullen all along.
Burning all that jet fuel was just practice??

I still wanted Frost. Was a bit disappointed in the Mullen hire, but he's starting to win me over.. if he can pull in some recruits and point that part in the right direction I'll feel a lot better.

I still fear that he's got some Richtness to him.. someone who will be a very good coach that can't get over the final hurdle.

Frost took over Nebraska.. which is horrible. I doubt they have as much talent on the roster as we do, and it's in Nebraska. He'll struggle there, where I think he could have worked magic with the talent we have.

I figured. Nobody wanted Willie. Turnover backpack...

There were a few folks who said his recruiting was a big reason to take him. Probably wasn’t a large number of posters, but there was a few.

During a major network interview he said UF never offered him the job. Your ignorance is not my problem.
I know some of the people (friends of a friend more accurately) who spent days and nights working on the contract and bazillion addendums that coocoo bird requested.

You should be smart enough to figure out on your own that UF doesn't take all the assistant ADs, attorneys and the President on a plane trip to New Hampshire just to say hello or scout for a skiing trip.

In the narrowest sense, he is probably correct. Mullinz just signed his actual final contract a week ago or so. The initial doc is probably called an Agreement to Enter an Employment Contract or something similar. However, it is moronic to actually believe we didn't "offer" him the job in common parlance. If he had said yes and signed that night, he was flying back to Hoggetowne that night and would have been announced the next day.

Thankfully Ox's dream coach didn't say yes.

On November 10 Spurrier states our next coach is with his team. On November 20 or thereabout our Admin initiated the smokescreen.
Spurrier speculates next coach still with his current team
I believe we’ll have an excellent coach here in 3-4 weeks," said Spurrier. "The coach is with his team now. The coach we’re going to hire is probably I would almost 100 percent say is coaching his team today, this weekend and through the end of the season and maybe through the bowl game.”

Florida reportedly flies out to meet Chip Kelly as UCLA enters mix for his services

In the narrowest sense you are correct except that he could not have accepted the job which was never offered and entertaining CK's addendums means nothing. He was at best a backup. Dream as you will.

And while in miamuh, nicky said he wasn’t heading for bamuh. You can’t believe everything a coach says. And personally, I don’t CARE if he was officially offered or not... and I’m not sure why it’s so important to you. Just saying your “exhibit A” is shaky at best.

Slick Willie, though the chub was much more flaccid compared to the ones for Kelly and Frost.
I dont think he was ever a serious candidate, despite begging for the job. The Twitter Black Caucus is the only ones who considered him a real candidate.
