Yeah, there are plenty of people "eligible" for the various HOFs that dont make it in.

Oh and don't forget, he has over 1100 'funny' likes

I had so many new sig choices over there. Pure gold. Need to start some kind of Byrd memorial here ala the Jabber Tailgate.

Urban could get in and should get in, but there's too much butthurt for that to ever happen.

Without Urban, Tebow probably goes to Alabama and we don't win two national titles.
That being said, I wouldn't vote for Urban because he is not a Gator. I would vote for Lawrence Wright before Urban Meyer; I don't think people realize how much #4 contributed to that 96 title...he was a true leader and motivator. A great Gator. We need more guys like him.

Mike Shula had Tebow locked up for Alabama, but for Urb. Think of this: if Shula had landed Tebow, would Saban have become the Crimson Tide coach? As for not voting for Urb, he was hired to do a job, and he overachieved beyond my wildest expectations. Including him in the Ring would be a no-brainer, had his tenure not ended as badly as it did. Another poster mentioned something about him being inducted posthumously. I agree with that. I also absolutely agree with your comments about Lawrence Wright.

Lots of mixed emotions about this. There is no one that I disagree with pro or con about UM getting in. Call it jilted, pissed, or flat out screwed. I'm appreciative for the titles but all that are in the ROH were and still totally all Gator. I've always said it would go a long way and make things better if he just acknowledged, "I didn't leave UF the way I should have". Tough remembering "the program is broken". No ill will, but just is what it is.

If we win a championship under a different coach, meaning the program is no longer broken, Urban Meyer gets in.

I think since our broken state has taken so long there are still a lot of bitter feelings. I’m in the camp that would like to see UM make things right with Florida and recognized for his two championships.

I don't hate Urbs but I have a hard time accepting him in the Gator Ring of Honor. He was a carpet bagger. mercenary that came in and won us a couple of National Championships, but he wore the Orange & Blue with as much loyalty as a Target employee.
BTW the whole Urbs left the program broken is way over played.

Urbs brought me a lot of joy during my college years but he’s no ROH candidate - he’s not a Gator. Just a great coach who passed through here.

My childhood hero. Great hands, crisp routes and the best I’ve ever seen in the open field.
I remember an Auburn game where Chandler caught a pass across the middle from left to right. A beautiful juke and the defender lost his jock and fell down. Chandler loped to the North endzone like the graceful deer he was.

Hah! Like minds:highfive:...how about a stroll together down Chandler Lane, shall we?
