'UFO spotted' over Myrtle Beach, disturbing onlookers
'UFO spotted' over Myrtle Beach, disturbing onlookers
Mysterious lights were spotted above Myrtle Beach, S.C. in August, raising questions about what the lights were and where they came from.

"UFOs over Myrtle Beach? Video catches mysterious lights over resort town," reported The State, Columbia's local newspaper, noting that the video was also posted to UFO Stalker, a UFO-centric website.

The video has also been uploaded to YouTube, with the description noting "A [massive] "spaceship" was spotted apparently hovering over a beach during a thunderstorm."

The person who submitted the video to MUFON said they were taking pictures and a time-lapse video of the thunderstorm and did not notice the strange lights until they got home.

"Taking pictures and time lapse of the incoming storm," the person wrote on the website. " was taking the pictures off the edge of a long pier after dark, so there were no reflective surfaces around. did not notice the objects until i returned home and checked the photograph and video."

The video was taken on Aug. 5 but was only uploaded to the website on Oct. 4, 59 days later. (Im gon guess it took this long for the poster to shop in the special effects)

This is the absolute truth. My only alien experience was as a 3 yr old child. I lived in Bartow Fla. There was sort of a swampy area behind our house. I woke up one night and mom was gone (dad was working late). I looked out the front window and there was a giant alligator in the street. Prehistoric big. I remember the huge eye. It wasnt moving. I looked multiple times and it was there, I finally went back to bed. I asked mom the next day and all she saw was a small dog. She was just right next door. I remembered it clearly well into my thirties. It must have been a sign about my future gator connections. Maybe it was a space traveler. It was clear as day when I saw it. Go gators.

In the early 90s, a fellow Gator friend and myself saw something very peculiar in the sky one night over near Archer Road and I-75. A stable bright light in the sky for a couple of seconds, and then (queue the sound effect, though it was silent), whoosh! it appeared to zoom straight out into space. We both looked at each other with the same doubtful expression of ‘did you just see what I saw?’
I would have chalked it up to :bandit: or :drunk:, but the fact we both witnessed the same thing was pretty eerie.
That’s my true UFO story. I’ve been a fan of aliens ever since; I even made sure I went through Roswell when I moved to the west coast. Go aliens!

In the spirit of Halloween, maybe we should expand this thread into all paranormal experiences...

I myself have never witnessed anything I can't explain. But I'm sure some of you have.

Him too. When a kid I was deathly afraid.

Actually I do have a story or two.

One time I was maybe 12-13, was in a back pasture riding motorcycle with my cousin. We stopped to look around and kick dirt. We were looking at the remnants of a box turtle. Then cows started gathering together and a strong odor came over us. Scared the **** out of us. We hauled ass.

When I was like 14-15, we had this old farm bulldog that was very protective. He’d kill any and every animal that came around the house. He rarely barked or made any noise. He’d get into a yellow jacket’s nest and bite them as they came out. His mouth would swell all up and have to give him Benadryl.

Anyway I’m watching tv late at night and I hear him yelp. I go in the back yard, turn on the light and see water shooting from the ground where our water facet used to be. He comes out of the hydrangeas covered in leaves with his tail tucked whimpering.

I go in to get my dad to figure out what to do about the water. He takes a look and immediately gets the shotgun and pistol. He tells me to take the shotgun and watch over while he cuts the water off (it’s a ways from the house) and while he cuts the handle off a rake and whittle to plug the pipe. My dad stayed up awhile waiting to see if anything else happened.

That’s all I got.

I don't have any real encounters but I have a theory that is really quite scary and I want you to think about it the next time you're on the highway and possibly come across the subject of said theory.

For most of my career I was in sales that required me to drive all over the state of Florida and at times Alabama and Georgia. Sometimes I'd put 50,000 miles a year on a car. During my drives across the highways and back roads I kept encountering a strange phenomenon. On almost every one of my road trips I would encounter along the way at least one blue cooler lying on the side of the road. I'd see them on county roads, interstates and rural backwater two lane roads. Not red coolers or white coolers....always blue coolers. Since I spent hours in the car by myself I'd start to wonder why just blue coolers? You would think you'd see other colors just as often but no. There had to be some kind of connection. So using deductive and scientific reasoning I came up with the only possible answer. They were alien space pods like those in the movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". My theory being that aliens have sent down these space pods disguised as blue coolers as part of a plan to take over the Earth. The coolers/pods were sent down to create a pre invasion scouting/sabotage party. What's happening is that unsuspecting road crews across America are being assimilated and having their bodies snatched by aliens who in turn will be causing havoc by changing road signs, blocking roads and disrupting traffic etc. right before the main invasion force arrives. It's genius yet insidious.

I told my wife about my theory and of course I was met with some skepticism and words like "insane", "Baker Act" and "divorce". But after a while she couldn't ignore the fact that every time we would be on a highway somewhere there would be a blue cooler. Not red....not white.....but BLUE. After pointing out about the 5th or 6th blue cooler she nervously told me to shut up and now she just shivers uncomfortably every time we pass one.

I tried taking my theory to the FBI and CIA but again I was met with skepticism. My suspicion is that they are in on it and have made a secret pact with the aliens to act as their spies and enforcers once the invasion is complete.

So I just wanted to warn my fellow Gators here who I feel a special kinship with to be alert, wary and ready. And remember what I said the next time you're driving down a road and see a blue cooler. And if you see some "road crew guys" working on the side of the road you can confirm to yourself that what I say is true by watching how uncomfortable they get when you roll down your window and let them know that YOU know.

I've never really believed in UFO'S and still don't. But about 2 years ago about 3 pm my 12 year old son and I was playing basketball in the yard Jonesville area outside of Gainesville. We saw a bright flash and looked up in the sky. The object looked like a miniature pyramid but solid chrome material. We could tell it was turning in a circle while traveling, every time it made a complete circle 1 panel appeared to flash or it was the sun reflecting off it, was extremely bright . It was traveling slow enough for me to get my wife to check it out. We never saw anything in the paper or really thought about again until I saw this tread. That's all I have

I've never seen a UFO or anything really paranormal.

I *have* been followed through the woods by something late at night and that was creepy. And it stank...oh boy did it stink.

I'd been deer hunting that afternoon. The stand was back down in the woods about a quarter mile and overlooked a beautiful creek bottom. I'd sat there all afternoon and a couple of yearlings had come in just before last shooting light. They milled around and browsed. I let them do their thing and waited for them to move off before getting down so they wouldn't spook and make a ruckus.

It was full dark when I finally lowered my rifle and pack to the ground and climbed down. My little headlamp was just bright enough to illuminate out to 10 feet or so. About that time I heard a deer blow back in the woods a ways off. Anyone who has heard that sound recognizes it. Sounds kinda like a wet sheet being suddenly ripped. Then another one blew, and another...and another. They were all upwind of me so I know they didn't smell me. So I started down the trail back to the field where the truck was parked.

I got about 50 yards from the stand when I heard a large twig/branch snap over my right shoulder. I looked over...saw nothing. Kept going. Then I heard it. Something was following me off the side of the trail. Whenever I would stop, it would stop. It splashed through the creek when I walked over the log bridge. Always just outside the lamp light. This kept on for a couple hundred yards. Then the wind turned. I can't describe the smell except to say it was a mix of rotten eggs and spoiled meat. Like a carcass that had been sitting on the side of US1 in August for a week or two.

As I got closer to the wood line, whatever it was started zig zagging back and forth across the path behind me. I never saw what it was and it never made a sound other than snapping branches and splashing in the creek. More than likely it was a couple of coyotes. But who knows...it could have been a squatch.
