I'm trying to think of a beer to compare the twisted fish to, and I just can't think of one. I would rather drink a six pack of room temp Coors lite
tallboys in a half hour than drink the twisted fish. It's simply terrible, and a shame for a good brewer in Sweetwater. Their 420 pale ale is a real delight for the hop lovers out there. Enjoy your festival this weekend buddy. Just make sure you get home before toe meets leather Saturday night.

Thanks. This is the festival that led to my Rogue Dead Guy story a few years back. I may try again. One of the few times we ever go away without kids so it's usually pretty fun. I'll be watching the game somewhere in the hotel. Probably ESPN club if it's not loaded with inbreds. I may not be in the right frame of mind to deal with them, should things go south.

So how were the flower beds this time buddy?

I'm happy to report that I left all flowerbed inspections to the Disney landscaping crew.

Tip of the cap to Gvile's own, First Magnitude, for making the Food and Wine Festival Craft Beer menu with their Lemongrass Saison. Not my favorite genre, but had it in a Florida flight, and it was bearable. The Shipyard Brewing Company Monkey Fist IPA was good, as was the Bold City Brewing 1901 Roasted Red Ale.

On the other hand, JDub’s Brewing Company Honeydew Melon Kölsch, Central 28 Beer Company's Waff-Ale(think chilled, watered down maple syrup), and the Florida Beer Company Passport Triple Chocolate Milk Stout(stop, stop, stop) were all complete disasters. Failure doesn't even begin to describe them, and I have no desire to even breakdown the flavor distinctions. Just terrible beers that should probably get someone fired, considering it was a great opportunity to showcase their respective local beers and instead they put out an embarrassing effort.

Curahee lucky scars
IPA

Hoppy, lemon , mango and refreshing. This is a good . But I won’t be paying over $10 for it again . The smell is of pineapple, not all that different from the taste . It’s a better than average beer. B minus

Unibroue La fin de Monde
Belgian tripel

Brewed in QC this one cracks my top 5 list.
Translated to English this beer means end of the world. If I go out drinking this I’ll die a happy man . A beautifully blended Belgian of spice, sweet and smoothness . The aroma has a cinnamon feel to it . Slight honey stays in the aftertaste . Unibroue deserves a medal for this one. A++.

Such a shame . Perhaps spend more gator games vomiting profusely my friend . We thank you in advance .

No idea what happened there. Had a whole write up that for some reason got double posted. Then I edited the one, and the other disappeared. Had to start from scratch. Response is above.

I’m not a huge beer drinker at all, and certainly don’t claim any knowledge whatsoever.

Spent the night in Bend, OR. and had the pleasure to eat at this little pizza joint. Here’s there list. I had a Deschutes Black Butte Porter Nitro and 2 of the Pelican Tsunamis. I’m not a big IPA fan at all but I do like dark beers. Good stuff.

@soflagator I almost had a bite of both the Rogues.

Great list NV. I've only had a couple of these. My first choice here would be the Unicorn pale ale.
It sounds fantastic. The tsunami sounds like a brew i'd really enjoy as well. Hope you had a good one!

Boneyard makes some good beers.
The anniversary Black Buttes are the bomb, if you can get one. Bourbon barrel aged and like 10-11% ABV.

I was looking for you last night while trying to make a choice. If you've never had that Pelican Tsunami, I highly recommend.

Wicked weed astronomical

This ripe and juicy IPA will have you humming “It was all a dream” moments after first sip . It has a light feel and taste to it with no bitterness . The alcohol is hidden so well it almost goes down like lemonade . A job well done here by WW. Solid A

Sweetwater Mosaic IPA

It smells good. Citrus and orange come to mind . It has a pleasant hazy appearance as well. Unfortunately the taste comes up a little short . Burnt weed/ resin lingers in a somewhat brutal aftertaste . It’s not a bad beer , but definitely a letdown .I will not try again. C minus

Laguintas born yesterday

Absolutely phenomenal . This pale ale is a wonderful blend of citrus and tropical flavor . Like George Costanza with his mango . This brew is a true taste explosion . Unfortunately this one has been harder to find than a blond Japanese . But I will continue to be on the lookout for it . It’s magnificent

A++
