I find it strange that you constantly attack Mullen but sucked on Mac and Muschamp’s balls for so long.

You’ve been an incredible Muschamp revisionist. Acting like he should’ve been fired after such and such. I could probably pull up 50 post from you where you said it wasn’t his fault and that it was injuries. And he needed another year. I’m talking about after losing a game to Georgia Southern where the other team didn’t even complete a pass.

Go check your phone after the Vandy game, and if GS if a log is available and you will see that. Now I tried to be positive after he was retained and so did you. Both of us stating that the inclusion of Roper might be what is needed. Which the record will show... so if someone is being revisionist history.. take a look at yourself. I

Here we have a year where the team has performed tenfold of anything we expected. And lost to a team that has AT LEAST double the talent. With a QB who passed for about 100 yards because he sucks. And by the way – he has made this QB into one of the top performers in the SEC.

And no one is calling for his firing, and I'm saying the same thing I said about McElwain he gets three years. I know you are being positive and we have spoken about. You responding to me saying what the coach himself said about the same issue, and me agreeing with assessment... Getting your panties in a wad.

"Practice was kind of lackadaisical,'' he said. "Just the effort wasn't there and it showed. The execution today was poor so we gotta be better next week."

This going to be an issue going forward unless he makes the decision that we hate UT, UGA and FSU. That crap about it being just another game is total BS. Urban and Spurrier made sure everyone from the players to the waterboy to the fans KNEW that those games are SPECIAL.

Lackadaisical? F that. This is disturbing.

Why the hell aren’t the millionaire coaches setting the tone in practice? Like, am I going crazy? Why are the players dictating the pace and intensity? This was one of my biggest gripes out of the hundreds with Mac. There’s zero excuse to allow Georgia week practices to be lackadaisical.

I think these coaches are trying, but these players were conditioned by previous coaches who may not have. Not to mention, they are 18-21 year olds. The coaches can only scream, yell, and attempt to motivate so much. At some point leaders on this team will have more influence on motivating their peers. We need those leaders to stand up and be recognized.

Fair point. I just don’t like hearing lackadaisical with 2 weeks of preparation for a game that basically decides the east title.
Swain is 20 years old. He's not proficient at self-expression.
But to your defense, lackadaisical isn't something you want to hear as a descriptor for practice. I just don't think Dan is that type of coach. He may be a lot of things, but lazy and underachiever is not what I associate with Coach Mullen. I doubt he would allow them to be "lackadaisical." I think Freddie's just trying to imply that guys weren't as laser focused as possible. And that in his opinion, guys could have went harder.

Really, Slevin? You're comparing us to Alabama in Mullen's first year? Wow!
To your earlier point, I don't think it's a matter of the coaches not enforcing a high energy practice regimen. But in order to have truly beneficial practices you need the players to strain. The coaches can't help the players do that. I tell the kids I coach all the time that they have to practice harder. I make them practice as hard as the rules allow, but you can always give more or try harder.
Mullen doesn't strike me as a coach that doesn't make his players practice hard. He's anti-Mac IMO.
But to be great you need more than just hard work. These kids have to learn how to strain to be great. These first year losses will go a long way in teaching these kids what it takes to be great. Most of these kids were recruited and played for a perpetual loser in Mac. It's why coaches generally don't win big in their first year on the job. They are usually inheriting losing programs and have to first show them how to win. And, ironically, you learn how to win by losing. Losers quit when they start losing(think Mac's Gators). Winners use the losses as motivation to never lose again(see '05 Gators).

edit: Saban was also 6-6 in his first year at Bama.

Only Alabama compares themselves with Alabama. Slevin is simply using them as a reference in which to go by.

The coaches and the SRs / team leaders need to set the tone of practice. To use bammer a s a reference, you think Satan lets his team loaf through practice the week before LSU?

Your question is irrelevant because Saban is not in his first year. You think during that "07, 6-6 season the Alabama players were practicing as hard as they do now?
Also, I don't think Coach Mullen would let his team loaf thru practice, either. As I stated above, good practice habits are acquired not taught. What you guys should take from what Swain said isn't that practice was lackadaisical, rather that he realized how it affected their performance on Saturday. That shows me that the players are starting to understand the importance of practicing hard. And that it directly correlates to winning games. That bodes well for future iterations of Gators Football.

Hilarious. You want to tell us what Freddie actually meant by using the term lackadaisical? You're trying to tell us what he was implying and his opinion? How the F would you know any of that? You don't. Wow...just wow. You don't like the narrative so you are creating your own? Wow...Say hi to Dorothy for me and the little people.

I took as practice was lackadaisical. Mullen also said UGA was just another game. Others, beside myself did not like that he was treating them as any other game. Sorry, but that won't fly here. That game is HUGE. Embrace it instead of the "any other game" crap. I'm only going by what they said. Sorry if that's not rainbow enough for you. Now go feed your unicorn.

I pity Mizzou. There is some anger that will be taken out on them.

Actually, I don't pity them. I'm looking forward to it.

I hope your right, because if the opposite of what your predicting happens. This place will be like it was post Kentucky game.

LOL... You're a clown!
I watch you biitch and complain about the coach on every thread. Of course you want to take this negatively. I actually respect your opinion, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Mullen was here for 5 years then at MSU for 9 years. I've never heard 1 report about Mullen being an overly relaxed coach. There were several other things I heard, but never about practice. Now, that it fits your narrative, you want me to believe this nonsense? GTFOH! You sound like a whiny biitch.

They had a bye week man. I don’t see Alabama having any difficulty staying intense for ten straight years.
Intensity didnt cost us the game. Lack of talent at DB and LB did. Lack of ass up front did. Lack of talent at QB did.

He admitted he was related to Chimp.

I could probably pull up 50 post from you where you said it wasn’t his fault and that it was injuries..
I love that. Yeah, no one can overcome all those injuries. :lmao2: But the team didnt play any different before the injuries.

Dont lose Dipshytskel! Yeah, bc no one else can turn the ball over 4-6 times.

The Butters apologists were even more pathetic. How could he win without a WR who was 80% of the passing offense (6tds) and a RB who was also good for 6 tds

You are so full of shyte it is tumbling out of your mouth. I've been very complimentary of Coach Mullen. I think he's done a decent job so far. Just because I'm not kneeling in front of him like you doesn't mean I don't appreciate the job he is doing. It's funny that you are so butthurt. I know your type. Any little criticism and you lose it. Look at you now...you are melting down because you can't handle the narrative. If it's not rainbows and unicorns you lose your shyte. Take a xanax. Do you see me calling for his job? Not even close. If you want ride unicorns this place probably isn't for you.

You know my type, huh?
Ok. guy. I'm kneeling on my knees to worship Mullen, right? That's the best you got? That's now 2 consecutive replies referencing unicorns and rainbows. Maybe you're subconsciously coming out of the closet by inflecting onto me.
We're 2 grown men having a sports debate. Act as such.
And I'm not butthurt. You replied to me, remember? IDGAF about what you say. I even mentioned that I always see you whining about the coach, but I've never said anything to you about it(until now). Why? Because I don't care about what you have to say. You're just a ridiculous guy, to me.

I know... lol
I only said that stuff because he attacked me and I wanted to piss him off. I actually do respect his opinion. I like having back and forth banter. He crossed a line by attacking me so I shot back. That's unrelated to my respect of his opinion lol

You claimed I bitch in every thread. That's false and a lie. You never say anything to me yet you dislike my posts all the time. Why? Because you're a freaking pollyanna that gets butthurt if anyone is critical of the coach. It's life. Deal with it. Put me on ignore. I don't really care if you are going to be this big of a biitch. Go clean the sand out of your vag man.

Butt-hurt.

EDIT: You win. I complain all the time. Never give Dan any credit at all. You got me. Kudos.
