As a coach or fan I'd be worried if there wasn't at least 2 or 3.....

Just think if Mullen brought back DJ and soon to quit Urchin, he may have to find a spot for Harvins to show the players how to "defend" themselves against abuse lovin coaches.....

Yep, the problem we have isn’t even that two guys battling during practice are not fighting enough. The problem is that our players aren’t physically attacking backup punters while holding the punter’s arms behind his back for a scholarship football player to beat him (at least they ensured no position player injuries this way). That happens at all football practices of successful teams.

I just wish our team was as tough as our posters. It’s a hard standard though, as no one gives their keyboard as much of a beating as the Donk and his 42k plus posts.

I'm not sure how they do it these days but that was pretty standard back in the days I played ball....it built team chemistry and weeded out a few kids that didn't belong...

Couldn't agree more. Anyone who disagrees needs to go watch summer/fall practices from Pop Warner all the way through NFL. There will be scraps nearly every other play in scrimmages as guys are fighting for positions and respect from older teammates.

But just to be clear to everyone in this thread I'm only half joking about the situation although I would love to have Durkin back on our staff. I doubt he told the players involved to beat the punter.

GTFO, wrong is wrong, and it should be exposed, You would fit in with the Paternos and Sanduskys with that kind of attitude. (don't deflect to compare what happened at one place to the other, wrong is wrong)

One thing is a fight between players in the heat of the moment during practice, another thing is a deliberate beating, also, the guy getting his hands/arms held back.. punks couldn't go one on one with a backup punter?? And if any of the coaches on the staff knew it was going to happen, even worse, yea yea, snitches get stiches.. the kid got stiches
