Well, we're 10 weeks and 200 picks in, and only one person (who has picked regularly) has gotten over 60%. We've had a fairly impressive 94 members play all 10 weeks, so I'm pretty happy with that participation and hope it will be even higher next season. A couple of members have done pretty well even missing weeks, most notably AugustaGator, who has hit 100 picks despite not playing Week 1 for some inexcusable reason. Even more impressively, NCOGator has hit 96 while skipping TWO weeks, a damn impressive 59.6% rate. Had he actually bothered to play those two weeks he'd be right in the thick of this thing. As it's structured, no one who skips weeks is going to be able to contend for the grand prize unless they have the run of the century. If you want to win it all, PLAY.
A bunch of people started and quit throughout the season because they just couldn't hack it. You can scroll down and see who these people are and seek them out for ridicule. g8orbill, GR8 2B, and Swamped Gator were having excellent seasons and were right in this thing and all three didn't play in Week 10. Were they all drunk? Impossible to say, but they flushed their shot at the prize down the john.
For those who think 515151 has this wrapped up, you couldn't be more wrong. First off, he's going to blow it down the stretch, we all know that and so does he. Also, keep in mind there are still close to 100 games left: 60 regular season games, the conference championship games, and ALL the bowl games - this thing doesn't end until the BCS Championship game. There will be prizes for at least the Top 5 and possibly Top 10, so don't think it's a winner-take-all thing.
As for records, the most picked in a week so far is 18, and the worst (while picking a full slate) is 4. The member with the fewest amount of picked games who has played all 200 is Back Alley Gator with 84 (42%). We still love you, man. However, the worst picker who has played at least 100 is Himey, with a 39.4% pick rate. Ouch.
