He’s not gonna throw the kid under the bus, no matter what. As much as we’d all love to hear him say “Yeah, he was godawful, I wish he’d transfer.”, he won’t say that out loud.
FF needs to make a quick run to GNC. He can be a heisman candidate at Maryland in two years.

Mullen doesn't seem to be in his normal chipper mood. Hope nothing is going on behind the scenes......
Thought that the UGA game just meant that UGA was a good team
Mizzou, however, suggests to me that there is a chemistry problem. Am I the only one who wonders about this?

I would be surprised if there is not a chemistry problem. Changing a broken culture takes time. You can have 90% buy in, but those 10% who are resisting can have negative effects. There has been a serious lack of player leadership in the past, and I am guessing there is not a lot now. The make up of this program has been to fold under the slightest bit of adversity.... that culture has to change.

On any team there are guys who are desperate to win and others who just like the look of the uniform. I'm sure this squad has some of both. Changing the locker room mindset will take time.

I will say that Toney looks like a guy who really plays hard and wants to win.

I don't think he needs to be thrown under the bus, a switch a QB after the last two performances is warranted IMO, and there was a time at UF when a certain ball coach would make the change on the fly and roll with the hot hand. The beautiful thing was the hot hand could go cold and he'd get the hook just as quick.

When he made the change, he’d find his guy and ride him the rest of the year. From Dean to Danny and then a few years later from the Bachelor to Grossman. After watching the game Trask performed well on his first series, but Missouri were playing Zone coverage. Then they put the clamps on him the rest of the way. I am curious to see Trask as the starter to see what he brings to the table. At 6’5 240 he should be able to absorb a hit if he’s called to run the ball. He’s a son of a preacher as well. That’s worked out well in our favor in the past. My main concern is if Trask stinks it up, do we turn back to Franks or we trot EJ out there and swing for the fences.

If Mullen is saying it takes a few years to develop a QB, then we are at least 2 more years away BECAUSE it ain't Franks.

Give the hobbled safe-rest, if we can win big without them.

Again:

I like this coach. He seems to be genuine but engaged.

Interesting note: Compare this years injuries to the last 7?
