My guess is a settlement at the end of the day. He should be set for life if he is smart with his money. Sorry this happened. He worked his entire life for a shot in the nfl. To have it ripped away like that. It sucks.

I got a similar pain blocker injection during shoulder surgery a year ago. Anesthesiologist explained the risks, which included the infinitesimally small chance that I could lose feel permanently. I knew what I was up against. I opted for it.

Sounds like Floyd may have been one of the unlucky few.

It really sucks that it happened, but risk is involved. He should be set up pretty well, but will have to use good judgement now rather than physical ability to sustain himself.
