I was giving you a shoutout for standing up to the group think with an obvious prediction. It was not a callout. Your valid point was the offense won’t improve overnight and get 40 points when we’ve shown otherwise incapable.

By comparison, I was noting our crowd will not improve over one week either, especially under worse circumstances than Missouri (worse time, not homecoming, FF proving he’s the same guy as last year, defense wearing down and getting exposed). So, I’m expecting nowhere near 70k fans and for it to be bleak in the stadium. Hope I’m wrong.

Thanks brother! Yes, the crowd will be an issue the next two games; Idaho will be worse than SC...which will be worse than Missouri was. This is the after effects of Muschamp/McElwain. And there's still people who will defend Foley to the bitter end. I feel for the players and obviously Mullen isn't happy about it. But, after 9 years of sh*t that's what you get. And the UAA has the balls to raise ticket prices.

Correct on all fronts. Then even the small details have been ignored too. Something as little as cell service/WiFi, which has been demanded by students (and other fans) for at least 8 years, maybe more, has been ignored for years. (I know, millennials and all, but if your customer keeps demanding something every single year, maybe listen and fix it). I’ve also railed on the pumped in music over the band for a while on this board, yet I’ll still have my kids there Saturday. They still love it because they only get 1-2 games a year, but I suspect that will wane soon if the games and environment don’t improve (especially with noon games killing all tailgating).

I considered not renewing this year for the first time as I was so disappointed in the Mullen hire, but figured I’d put my suspicions of Mullen to the side and give him a few years. Which decision, btw, is the ultimate example of both being critical but literally voting with my dollars to “give the coach a chance.” I point this out for all the pumpers who believe if you express your doubts and Mullen’s prior flaws, just like with Mac and Chump, that you don’t support the team or give the coach a chance. He gets a chance regardless of the “dumpers” freedom of thought and observation. I’ll renew again for a couple years but I’m watching the recruiting primarily to determine if i continue beyond 2020.

Shirley disappointed but unfazed. 6-3 blows chunks but I have had a veritable plethora of positive emotions (read:F.U.N.) watching this team mucho more than not. DM got us moving forward and I am in step with him. Go Gators!

This is where I’m at. Even Georgia offered some hope by the way we prepared and battled a more talented team in spite of the missed flea flicker and turnovers. There was hope to take from it.

The Mizzou loss felt way too familiar to the last 8 years. Hopefully it is the blip, we beat the next two teams and destroy FSU. If so, we’ll forget Mizzou and focus on that improvement. I’m sick of losing to FSU and losing to this year’s FSU team would be the worst of the current streak.

This is exactly where I am. This was his Muschamp/McElwain game. I get it; you can't win them all. But he got his ass kicked (at least the team did) by a rather sh*tty Missouri team....at home. It wasn't even close. After Missouri scored...it was over. And make no mistake, Missouri could have run the score up at least 1 more TD.

I expected to lose 5 games this year...but I expected to be competitive in every game. I honestly thought we had a chance of not getting blown out this year...but, we've now been blown out twice. I'm okay w/ the UGA loss, we were in it for 2.5 quarters. They're just a better team than we are. Mullen got out coached by Barry Odom and Derek Dooley....badly outcoached. Did the players quit? Maybe. But it's his job, and his $6 million salary to make sure they show up.

Very disappointing at this point in the season.

This is not the first Florida team I've seen tank the next game after a uga loss. There ARE some outstanding goals that are out there to achieve. A ten win season following last year IS something to hang your hat on. Beating fsu IS important. A GOOD BOWL is still out there for the taking. This week NEEDS to be the BEST sales job Coach Mullen has ever made. The team needs some confidence and pick their head up and go out and WIN Saturday for the Orange and Blue. In All Kinds of Weather and all that stuff, GO GATORS!

Our offense is sad - Nowadays a single first down results in hearing the “...charge” music. Charging down the field requires 3 first downs or 1 long gain,

Last game they played it after a zero yard screen pass. I guess an Idiot was in charge of playing that song.

Serious question here, and I don’t think a damn soul on this board was excited about the Mullen hire at the time(jury is still out, even though I think he’s doing a decent job so far).....but do you think if we’d have hired Mullen instead of Muschamp when we hired him or Butters when we hired him, that we’d be better off than we are now? I know the fan attendance started dropping off after 2010, and took a significant dive in 2013 and 2017, respectively.

Personally, I don’t think Foley cared for Mullen, and that’s why he was never really considered. That, and in 2014, when we hired Butters, it would’ve taken more than what we paid Butters to get him here.

I don’t know if we’d be better off or not, honestly. Another one of those “what if” scenarios I guess.

Mullen can absolutely not lose to Muschamp.

If you lose to Muschamp you should seriously consider harakiri.

Mullen is hands down a better coach then Muschamp and losing would be inexcusable. Especially after UGA and Mizzou and Kentucky

We were more setup to run a Mullen style offense instead of the ground and pound Champ wanted to run. So I'd say yeah, Mullen would've been a better choice at the time. Not the best choice, but a better one than Champ.

Before the season who'd thought we'd go undefeated against the west and lose 3 maybe 4 games against the east?

I've heard the Foley didn't like Mullen comments as well, and honestly I don't know.

I'm not sure if hiring Mullen was the right move in 2010, but hiring someone that ran a similar offense as Meyer probably would have helped on that side of the ball. Muschamp was a bad hire. As others have said, and I agree with; UF is not a place for a first time head coach. We did that with Zook and then Foley stubbornly did it again. Hindsight is 20/20, and Mullen in 2010 would have been similar to hiring a first time head coach (w/ only 1 year under his belt at Miss State). Same goes for Charlie Strong, only a year at Louisville. I'm not sure who would have been better, but I do think Mullen taking over for Urban would have made more sense than either Muschamp or Butters.

Couple the bad coaching hires with the decision to not get into the "arms race" by Foley and here we are, 9 seasons later, still floundering.

If our defensive gameplan is the same as last week, we will be playing a good 15 yards off of your receivers, so Merry early Christmas there. .
If Franks is playing that will put them in perfect position for an int since he usually slings it a good 5 feet over the open receiver’s head.

Pretty much how I feel about I as well. I actually would’ve supported bringing Mullen back when Meyer left, if only for continuity offensively. I understand why we didn’t though.

You think it makes the rest of us happy? This team is still ahead of schedule, and you damn well know it.

Beating MSU and LSU made us happy.
Ahead of schedule? We got boat raced by an 0-4 SEC team, UK and killed by UGA. We beat terrible lsu and MSU teams. If anything we're right where an average coach should have us. The only way we're headed in the right direction is if Mullen shakes up the staff and we start landing 4/5* studs. Hell when was our last commit for the 2019 class?
