Well I guess Kansas got a head start on the game by firing whoever their coach was and hiring Miles, but Fedora and Kingsbury have been whacked today. Was never a fan of either and considered Fedora the worst total coach in D-1 football. I know I am on Cousin Eddie for his lack of game management IMO, but Fedora was far and away the worst game manager out there. I just think is is ironic that some on this board and I presume other Gator fans were supporters of Fedora and Kingsbury and even mentioned them as decent candidates for the UF job. Now they are out of their former jobs. Now those 2 schools are not the creme of the crop but with the proper guys, you can win reasonably consistent at both places.

Either would be a nice Co-OC.

Maybe. But Fedora is so focused on a balanced offense. I don’t want a balanced offense. I want whatever offense can crush whatever defense they’re playing. Sometimes heavy running the ball. Sometimes heavy throwing the ball.

Mullen would call the running plays and Fedora the passes.
I want my HBC CALLING the plays. I'd just like to give him some help opening it up a little more.

If your HBC doesn't call plays, you lose your playcaller every time they approach mediocrity.

@PeteThamel: Helton stays at USC. Now comes the challenge of changing the staff and making good hires with an anvil over the coach in 2019.

Judging by the comments, I'd say Swannie's lacking backing.

Law acts now like he only wanted Fedora at OC. He wanted him at head coach - that was his guy.

id like to see the offense open up a bit more, but as of now, its probably hampered more by the qb than the playcaller. If we get a stud back there and its still dink and dunk, then yeah, time for some supplemental support.

I have no dog in the fight at USC, but can anyone feel good about Lynn Swann being the AD?

No fan of Fedora. Will never forget the reports of him sitting in a UF office with Illini stuff on. Whether true or not, still don't like him.

There's no excuse for how badly he's done out there. They are historically the biggest CFB program in the West and have a huge recruiting advantage because of it yet they are middle of the pack in their own conference for decades at a time....:dunno:

Over the last decade or so how many times have I seen posters here or elsewhere pimping Fedora as the answer to our prayers. Good to know Swamplawtard was among them.

Kliff Kingsbury got canned. Know it won't happen, but would love a dude like that on our offensive staff. His offenses were always prolific.
