Recruiting 2019 NSD: 4* DE Khris Bogle and 4* CB Elam signs

Im no big fan of Grantham but after Sidehat and the Miami lover Shannon I appreciate the attack style defense. I have never coached football and don't claim to know how but it appears our guys like playing in his system. I think if he has top talent he could actually be a good DC. I doubt seriously anyone hires the guy as a HC so hopefully we can play well enough to start winning again and possibly playing for championships.

Leo....you seem like your well connected with UF recruiting. Do you have inside info, or do you subscribe to different website services?

I get my info through different recruiting services. I also follow kids we're interested in on twitter. No insider info. Friends tell me things but I have no idea if they have sources or they also get their info through different recruiting services.

I love to see all these in home visits and activity in recruiting now. Maybe Mullen thought he had to focus solely on coaching during the year and put these to the side to change the culture at UF. Like others, I’ve questioned the recruiting progress though.

I’m hoping that in future years we don’t wait until 3-4 weeks before early signing day to get this active in recruiting. While there are lots of circumstances at play, including the kids season schedules, waiting is very risky/derelict since such a large % of kids commit early and do not flip. We sit with very few of Florida’s best players and our timing has us fighting for flips instead of to hold on to our already committed players.

Dan’s earned some greater trust than in July based on the season, but it will be interesting to see if the strategy changes and improves for 2020 and moving forward.

If that was indeed his strategy, I think it's safe to say its changed moving forward. 2020 class is currently sitting at 9th with lots of potential there in the works...

White would be tough to phase out though. He’s a Tampa kid and you don’t want to wreck that relationship.

That’s way more 4*s than we’ve seen in one class for a long time. So... yes???

To me...start with QB and OL. Florida HS are always deep at DB.

Then DL.

Kimbrough is a good cb prospect that’s been heavily over looked in the rankings. Dude killed it in summer camps and then dropped. I’d be ok with Weston being dropped but that doesn’t seem to be happening
