Watching Georgia’s disastrous fake punt attempt I found myself wondering what some of the dumbest calls of all time were. Sweater vest’s decision to go for it on 4th down in 2006 against us jumps out as one.

Kirby watched his punt team go out there with Justin Fields as the upback (red flag #1), Bama in safe punt return (red flag #2), on 4th & 11 (red flag #3) and didn't call timeout to 86 the call. He deserved to lose for that alone.

You know something, I know Emory was not as highly rated, but he always looked confident when he played, even when he played at WLOCP. Justin Fields just looked like a deer in head lights all year. Not even running well.

I think we got the better DT QB in 2018. Or Mullen is just a much better QB developer.

Once he saw the defense he should’ve had a contingency plan for Fields to move up to the line of scrimmage and to just punt the damn ball.

I wonder if this LB #1 plays on STs? It might work then?

But once you see safe with the starting defense.

I mentioned in the other thread that given the stakes of the game and the particular situation etc., it is one of the worst play calls in the history of college football.

But in football all around, nothing will ever approach Seattle throwing the ball from the 1 yd, line against New England in the Super Bowl with one of the best RB's in the league, against one of the worst run defenses in the league who was exhausted at the time. That will always be #1 as the worst play call in a football game of all time and will never be eclipsed.

The call was mind boggling. I'm sure UGA's fans feel the same. Let them all wallow in the muck.

Kirby and all his offspring should be required from now until forever to end their name with a question mark.

I have a feeling that we will have a long list of Kirby Dumb's dumbest plays before this ends.
