Okay, so we're back to the UF argument. Urban went 82-9 at OSU (54-4 in the conference) won several conference titles, a national title, and won all 7 times against rival Michigan. He'll end his tenure with a top-10 recruiting class and a Rose Bowl victory.

Do you think OSU fans will take that? Was it worth it?

The funny part is they are going to be a bunch of jilted lovers, too. Some of you will be able to commiserate with those Bucknut fans on how bad they had it with Urban Meyer.

P.S. - The streak against Michigan ends next year. This new coach is going to be a disaster.

Meyer only moves up. Not down, not sideways, only up. And up for him at this point is only one destination, Notre Dame.

Timing is actually almost spot on. Kelly's contract runs through 2021. The pressure on him to produce Final Four appearances with Meyer lurking in the TV booth will be almost unbearable. By then they ought to have a cure for terminal brain cysts.

The priests and nuns in South Bend will be cringing, but I'm pretty sure you can book it.

OSU is NOT up!

I love great irony. I love the fact that Earle Bruce now gets credit for taking down Ohio State not once but twice, the second time posthumanously

I will be very glad when that drama queen is gone from college football. He can be an analyst if he wants. I can always skip the halftime show.

With that said, I wish him the best for his health. I just wish he would retire quietly and stay off the TV.

They will take that if he doesn't come back to coaching but if he returns to ND after a year or so then all of that will be thrown out the window. A coach can come back to the game and still be beloved by former fans if it all seems legitimate, that didn't happen here. If he's coaching at ND in two years then it will be the same thing there.

We need to get Mark Pantoni. If you haven't heard of him do a google search. He's a UF grad and in charge of the Ohio State recruiting machine. He'd be a HOMERUN hire and we should write a blank check to get him (seriously, he's making $160K or so at Ohio State - we should offer him a guaranteed 5 year $250K/year contract).

Until ESPN offers him an analyst job.
Yep, just like he did when he "retired from UF". But I don't believe for a second he's done. He'll stay "retired" for a year or two then be right back in it. Chump will be fired and SC will hire Meyer, they seem to have an affinity for former gator coaches.

So great coach and thankful for the success he gave us on the field but not such a great guy and angry at the black mark he gave the program and the state he left it in.

I wonder if he realizes how much Tebow covered for all the criminals and bad dudes on those championship teams.

What a terrible look for OSU, you stood by him and took that massive black eye only to miss the playoffs and him retire at the end of the year anyways. If they had spine they would have fired him which would have earned them praise and someone else could have led them to missing the playoffs.

If someone else lead them to missing the playoffs, then everyone would be saying they miss the playoffs because they fired Urban.

Good for him. If you’ve got a damn cyst on your brain go take care of it.

Thanks for the two NC’s and for Tim. I’d take 40 Urbans in a row if we’d get the same short term success
UF
Recruiting coordinator. Gives him time to recover from surgery.
