I think his psyche was broken by not getting drafted. But at the same time, I don’t know what information he was being fed that told him he should enter the draft in the first place. He was a low 2nd rounder at the absolute best. Either way, his heart doesn’t seem in it this year, and I think White has had enough. Send the kid to a sports psychologist or let him go Christian Dreijer and leave for Europe mid-season.

Sorry, haven't dialed into hoops yet. What's going on with Hudson? Apparently it isn't too good.

No longer starting and getting fewer and fewer minutes. For the season averaging just under 17 minutes per game, but even less than that lately. 6 ppg, 30% from the field 20% for 3's, 2.4 rebounds per game, 6 assists for the season, 5 turnovers. Not contributing much and is a liability on defense.

So what is Coach White doing to help him get over the hump?

This is one of the few times that I actually have pretty decent inside info. Apparently not a lot of people (on the team) were excited about his announcement to return. He was big-ego, entitled, lacked work-ethic, and not a good teammate (allegedly). It wouldn’t surprise me if he came back with a shyt-ton of attitude and White isn’t putting up with it. My info was back when it was learned he was coming back, not recent, so I’m surmising based on what I heard.

Literally nothing. He can't even hit free throws at the moment. He is pretty much a liability whenever he's on the floor. It's like he forgot how to play during the offseason.

That would explain a lot. White's feedback about him is pretty consistent in citing his lack of performance in practice as the source of his current trend toward a diminished role on the team.

On the positive side, at least Kevaughn is starting to come around with his scoring. The difference there, of course, is that his effort and hustle on defense has been consistent all year long despite his shooting issues to start the season.

He's an athletic wingman at 6-6, but his .435 career FG and .662 FT percents leave a lot to be desired. He improved his points production from 8.4 to 15.5 PG from 2016-2017 with only a six-minutes-per-game increase, which is significant. Without being a stopper, though, how could he be convinced he was ready for the next level?

Probably sold a bill of goods by his agent.

Bring me up to speed, guys.

Demanding he puts forth the effort in practice if he wants court time. I think White was expecting Hudson to come in hungry based on his desire to improve his stock on the next level and he has instead been unmotivated for some reason. The drop off in production, though, has been stunning to the point where during last night's game he was playing like one of the guy at the end of our bench who don't see court time unless we are leading by 30. Our freshmen are all playing with so much more maturity and focus than Hudson is at this point that I think his window of opportunity to turn it around is rapidly closing as the team approaches conference play. If he isn't much improved by the end of this month I doubt we will see or hear much from him for the rest of the year and then he'll be off to Europe or some other non-NBA locale.

Outside of Chiozza, he was the one guy teams feared last year. He was the only guy I remember who could legitimately drive to the rim and disrupt a defense. We need this guy up and ready by February.

If he's just being a turd, he's only hurting himself. Not hard to figure out.

Kevaughn is who he is. A hustling, solid defender. He hasn’t really progressed since his Freshman year.

His performance is surprising, surely you don't forget how to shoot that easily.
