Donk, the fact that Mullens told Pierce that if he came to UF he would work harder than he ever had, tells you that Mullens doesn't see recruiting the way this board does. Get over it. He is not going to be a great recruiter. If he ever gets the players, it will be because he wins and they want to come.

He's winning now and they apparently don't want to come currently. I don't mean future classes either. He needs guys who can sale his vision.

I hesitate to say this because it comes from hollywood "done deal" bob at 247, but his piece from yesterday on White's experience this weekend alludes to some good news about Lucas. The closing piece of the interview he was asked how he felt about the non-committed recruits experience. He said ... "I think we got a good shot with most of (them). I definitely think we can get another o-lineman though." The only other un-committed OL was Lucas, right?

Yes .. true. I guess I was careless with the use of un-committed and non-committed as those terms meant not committed to UF. There were 6 players on visit this past weekend that were not committed to UF and that is what White's comment was directed at. Lucas was one of the 6 on visit and I believe the only OL recruit there that wasn't committed to UF.

Our main issue is we aren't getting the top blue chippers that are Rivals 5.9, 6.0 or 5 star guys like many of our SEC competitors are. I am sure he will land a few more but he needs to up his recruiting game for us to be playing for SEC Championships especially with how Georgia is recruiting now. Just looking at the 2nd recruiting class coaches in the Rivals rankings shows you on the field success doesn't have much to do with getting a good 2nd class.

I don't understand this obsession with Seider. For all his S. Florida prowess he got a slow wide receiver for PSU from there. All of that with an established head coach that has seen some success in the big 10.
