Bama v Clemson rinse and repeat. Saban has essentially ruined college football.

Nah man. It's still fun to watch. Somebody will get them here and there. Hopefully we can catch up to them in a few years too. That's the plan at least. Bama probably has the best assembly of talent on one team in college football history. They won't be as unbeatable as they are now when Tua is gone. We'll catch uglay first and then we'll go after bama in ATL. They're just a really good villain and we'll be the team to take them out finally in a couple years. We're coming for the throne now.
I hate bama but I would still rather them win it than Clemson.

truth talk from OP. I feel like a couple more teams got to catch up. Honestly, seeing a Pac 12 team doing something might actually help even though I hate them all. Big 10 is looking bad all of sudden its all SEC and Clemson, not fun for the rest of the country.

Dont disagree with your overall premise, but you could also argue that the playoff(in some respects) is ruining college football. There has only been a handful of true semifinal games. The rest have been pointless scrimmages that simply delay the inevitable NC game. Neither of these games had any business being played. And what’s worse, they’ll use these blowouts to play the what-if game and demand an expansion, only further ruining things.

No, no, no. The current system is just fine considering all conferences were created equal.

not true make it 8. Give top 4 home games. give out actual rankings not just fake rankings. Give SEC top seeds if they legitally deserve it.

Yep. Woulda been just fine with Bama and Clemson for the title without these 2 duds wasting everyone’s time.

I’m not ok with a 3 loss NC. Anyone who was at this year’s Lsu game should appreciate what a big regular season game means now, and how much it would change if that didn’t matter.

Is it b/c it is the same 2 or 3 teams every year that makes the game of CFB not fun? I disagree in that I enjoy watching good quality teams regardless of jersey. And to me in this era of all offense and all rules favor offense that 2 of if not the best 2 defenses are going to play for the trophy. At least the best 2 D lines are going to play. I enjoy seeing a well coached team even with athletes understand and follow the instructions of mush rushing. But here is the thing. As great as Satan is, I just watched him let his staff outcute even him. On 3rd and 6 inches they try some cutesy shift that results in a false start. Then after the O-lineman gets flagged later for not being on the LOS, they try another cutesy shift on 4th and 1. Bama is one of the few teams who does not need to do cutesy crap in short yardage situations, yet even Satan gets caught in easy mismanagement situations. so all hope is not lost. Game management mistakes are made by all. Games can be won by eliminating those silly calls!

If we expand to 8 it's gotta be top 8, no auto slots for conf champs. What if NW beats tOSU or Pitt beat Clemson? Would they deserve to play for NC? NO. In any case, expansion is yrs down the road. Current format and ESPN contract for it is good into the next decade.
