He gets an "A" from me if for no other reason than he made Florida football fun to watch again. (It probably should be noted that thanks to the previous 7 seasons, my bar was set very low this year.) Even in the games which we lost you could see what he was trying to do and visualize it being successful down the road. In the years since Urbs left there have been a few "successful" seasons with double digit wins, but you always felt you had to attribute it to some very good defenses and an SEC East which was shadow of its former self. Many of those victories were actually painful to watch (though as someone who lives in Dawg country, the 2014 UF-UGA game was joy to watch even though - or perhaps particularly because - Treon only attempted 6 passes)....
Mullen's offense is obviously still a work in progress, but it his work with Feleipe was nothing short of miraculous (If for no other reason the improvement of TD to INT ratio - who saw that coming?) I know a lot of posters here believe Franks has reached his ceiling and i can't blame them for thinking so, but based on this year's improvement, CDM gets the benefit of the doubt from me on his ability to get even more next season. While still not great, the O-line was much better than last season and also exceeded most everyone's expectations. As for the receivers, they seemed to get far more separation than under Butters and I was impressed all season with their downfield blocking. (Hopefully next season Feleipe or one of the Jones' can actually hit them with a pass in stride consistently...)
Many of the previous posts have covered the broken parts of the program CDM fixed (S&C, attention to detail, etc.) and have rightly noted recruiting is no where near where it needs to be (though this current class may yet have some pleasant surprises), so I won't rehash them here. And yes, the loss (and the way we lost) to Mizzou was troubling (and is what kept me from giving CDM an A+), but when taken in totality, it was an incredible 1st season. Next year the bar will be much higher and achieving an "A" in my class room will be more difficult, but for what he accomplished in twelve plus months, I have say, helluva job.
